| At present,China’s economy has entered a critical stage from high-speed development to high-quality development,tourism as a strategic pillar industry of the national economy,its development is particularly critical to the transformation and upgrading of China’s economy,and high-speed rail as a new mode of transportation will have an important impact on tourism.Therefore,this paper regards the opening of high-speed rail as a quasi-natural experiment,and empirically analyzes the impact of high-speed rail opening on the total factor productivity of tourism based on the DEA-Malmquist model and the multi-time point Differences-in-Differences model.Firstly,the multi-time Differences-in-Differences model is used to study the impact of high-speed rail opening on the tourism industry from the perspectives of heterogeneity,dynamics and action mechanism.The research shows that the opening of high-speed railway has effectively promoted the development of total factor productivity and technological progress of tourism industry;The mechanism test proves that the opening of high-speed rail can accelerate the mobility of labor,capital and other production factors,and thus improve the total factor productivity level of the tourism industry.The results of dynamic analysis show that in the 10 years after the opening of high-speed rail,high-speed rail has effectively promoted the total factor productivity of tourism,and the impact utility has gradually increased with the passage of time.The heterogeneity test found that although the high-speed rail significantly improved the total factor productivity of the tourism industry in the eastern,central and western regions,it failed to promote the development of the technical efficiency of the tourism industry in the eastern,central and western regions.Further,this paper takes tourism enterprises as a sample to study the relationship between high-speed rail and the total factor productivity of tourism enterprises.The main conclusions are: the opening of high-speed rail has effectively improved the total factor productivity and technological progress level of tourism enterprises,and its impact utility has gradually weakened over time and eventually stabilized within a certain range;heterogeneity testing has found that high-speed rail has increased the total factor productivity of tourism enterprises of two ownership systems,and the impact of high-speed rail on non-state-owned tourism enterprises is higher than that of state-owned enterprises.This article believes that:(1)Accelerate the improvement of China’s high-speed railway network,strengthen regional coordinated development,and achieve rational use of resources.(2)Formulate differentiated policies and incentives according to local conditions to provide appropriate platforms and policies for the development of tourism.(3)Increase investment in fixed assets in cities,improve tourism infrastructure,and supervise the development of other related industries to create a good environment for industrial development.(4)Focus on establishing a good brand image,increase publicity and training in knowledge and skills,and effectively improve the quality of its services. |
