Exploring Strategies For The Display Of Ritualistic Architectural Sites In The Capital City

As a place where people communicated with their ancestors and gods,the ritual architecture of the capital not only represented the highest level of architectural technology of the period and had a profound influence on the planning of later capitals,but also served as one of the political arenas of the state and was valued by kings of all dynasties.As an important part of the city site category,the ritual architectural site of the capital is an important empirical material for the study of ancient capital planning ideas and social ritual systems,and is of great cultural,historical and display value.With the development of archaeology,ritual architectural sites have become an important object of archaeological excavation and research,and have been excavated in large numbers across the country,although there is a lack of research on the display of this type of site after excavation.The specificity of the function of ritual sites and the connection between their layout,form and ritual ideology make it necessary to address the question of what core elements should be displayed,what content should be displayed,and what display methods should be used to convey the values and cultural connotations of ritual sites.The thesis draws on the current situation of ritual sites in the capital,summarises the problems of existing sites,and based on these problems,interprets the key elements of ritual sites in the capital,with the aim of exploring suitable display design strategies for ritual sites in the capital.The paper is divided into the following five main chapters.Chapter 1 Introduction: the background of the thesis,the purpose and significance of the research,the object of the research and the content of the research are explained,the relevant concepts and the scope of the research are clarified,and the research on site display and ritual architecture in China is summarised,and finally the research methodology and the framework of the thesis are formulated.Chapter 2 analyses the historical history and current situation of the ritual architecture sites of the capital city: starting from the historical history and current situation of the ritual architecture sites of the capital city,it collates the existing excavated ritual architecture sites of the capital city in terms of their distribution,the current situation of the ontology and the current situation of the display,and summarises the shortcomings and dilemmas in the current display of the ritual architecture sites of the capital city,namely the lack of display in the three aspects of the ontology,spatial environment and cultural connotation.Chapter 3 identifies the key elements of the ritual architectural sites of the capital city: the characteristics of the ritual architectural sites of the capital city are interpreted from three levels: ontological features,surrounding environment and cultural connotations,providing theoretical support for the study of the display strategy of the ritual architectural sites of the capital city.It also provides ideas for the display strategy of the following sites through the analysis of actual cases on several key elements and their significance.Chapter 4 discusses the display strategy of the ritual architectural sites of the capital city: based on the previous research results,the display system of the ritual architectural sites of the capital city is constructed,and three display strategies are proposed from the site ontology,spatial environment and cultural connotation.For the display of the site proper,two levels of architectural remains and layout and form can be explored;for the display of the spatial environment,this paper proposes three ways to clarify the ritual area,highlight the site-selected environment and strengthen the axial relationship;for the display of cultural connotations,this paper lists three levels of display: ritual culture,ceremonial culture and historical culture.Chapter 5: The Ritual Area of Han Wei Luoyang City: By analysing the current situation and resource composition of the Ritual Area of Han Wei Luoyang City,this paper proposes a method of displaying the site itself and its surrounding environment and cultural connotations,providing more practical reference cases for the display of ritual architectural sites of the capital city in China.
