From the actual operational requirements of air traffic management,traffic managers are more concerned about the maximum traffic volume of each sector.To study the sector traffic volume,the main problem to be solved is how to scientifically calculate the sector traffic volume and how to reasonably allocate the aircraft to each sector,so as to meet the traffic demand and optimize the allocation of airspace resources at the same time.Sector traffic volume can reflect sector operation efficiency and service capacity.Therefore,the study of sector traffic volume is of great significance to the formulation of planning and implementation of control and command strategy.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,the concept of regional control sector is introduced,and the difference between capacity and traffic volume is analyzed.It is pointed out that the capacity emphasizes "capacity" while the traffic volume emphasizes "passability".The concept of sector traffic volume is given,and the factors influencing the traffic volume are analyzed.Secondly,according to the actual sector structure,the quantitative calculation model of sector traffic volume is established from a new angle-route.Considering that the aircraft mainly flies on the route in the sector,the flight route of the aircraft is matched and disassembled with the structure of the route,and five basic route configurations are obtained.The sector is regarded as the superposition of five basic configurations,the concept of route combination coefficient is proposed,and the quantitative calculation model of sector traffic volume is established according to the control operation rules.Finally,taking the sector of East China Air Traffic Control Bureau as an example,the simulation results fit the actual traffic volume of East China.Thirdly,according to the new control area planning of CAAC,it is necessary to predict and calculate the total traffic volume under the future sector planning,and analyze whether it can meet the future air transport demand.Considering the change of sector under the new structure of terminal area based on the existing capacity data,a new method to convert the take-off and landing volume of ground airport into the traffic demand of air sector is proposed for the first time.The trend extrapolation method of time series is used to predict the sector traffic volume and airport demand in East China based on historical data,and then the airport demand is converted to the corresponding sector traffic volume demand under the new sector planning and analyzed.Based on the data of the first ten years in East China,this paper analyzes the new sector planning in 2025 and 2035.The analysis results show that under the new sector planning,the future traffic volume of some sectors can not meet the traffic demand.Fourth,without changing the current sector structure,in order to make the sector traffic meet the future traffic demand as much as possible,the sector traffic optimization model is established from the perspective of flow allocation.Considering the characteristics of civil aviation operation,the traditional operational research model and traffic flow assignment model are improved.The results of the example show that the model can better allocate the traffic to the segments in the sector,and the optimized sector traffic results are more suitable for the actual operation of civil aviation.
