The research content of this paper is the temple architecture of lijiang river-guijiang river valley in Ming and qing dynasties.The lijiang river-guijiang river basin is located in the northeast of guangxi,surrounded by mountains and densely covered with river network.The basin was inhabited by zhuang,yao,miao and other ethnic minorities,since the qin dynasty,and guangzhou and hakka immigrants coming for military,political,economic and other reasons through xiang-gui corridor,Xiao royal road transport in guangxi,especially during the Ming and qing dynasties,to the people of the department of immigration to guangxi,the basin because of its special geographical position of the junction of provinces(autonomous regions)become one of the main settlements and immigrants.Since then,the indigenous people of the minority nationalities and the han ethnic groups lived together in the valley,and different cultures influenced and penetrated each other.Temple architecture is an important public building in villages and towns,and it is the place where the masses place their inner faith and vision for a better life.The author combed the formation and development of the folk belief system in this basin,conducted field visits and investigations on nearly one hundred temple buildings in the lijiang river-guijiang river basin,surveyed some of them with representative and well-preserved temples,explored their physical and structural characteristics and conducted comparative studies in different regions.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which defines the research object and category,summarizes the current research status,and clarifies the significance of the research,the research framework and methods.The second chapter gives a brief overview of the history,geography,population distribution and culture of the basin,and summarizes the development and general situation of folk beliefs in the basin.The third chapter discusses the meaning of offering sacrifices to temples in towns and villages,the function of temples and the composition of temple system,and analyzes the spatial layout of temples in towns and villages with examples.The fourth,fifth and sixth chapters respectively explore the temple architecture plane pattern,structure and frame characteristics and decorative characteristics.Chapter 7 types according to different parts of the population distribution and the temple architectural form,will be divided into the river from north to south mountain ethnic architectural culture impact area,the hunan-kiangsi architectural culture affected zone area,and wide mansion,yao architectural culture blending area,guang fu cultural influence area and broad mansion,hakka architecture culture blending area five regions,respectively,with the temple features to explore.
