Research On The Ecotourism Carrying Capacity Of Forest Parks

With the gradual recovery of domestic tourism,many tourists have a strong demand for tourism.Forest tourism has developed rapidly in recent years in China,and forest tourism caters to the vision of tourists’ desire to return to nature,and forest parks have become a leisure and relaxation destination for many tourists.However,forest park ecosystems are fragile,and the influx of tourists to start a large number of tourism activities can easily cause irreversible damage to the ecological environment of forest parks.Therefore,a scientific assessment of the ecotourism carrying capacity of forest parks can provide a reference for decision-making on their environmental protection,development and utilization,and sustainable development.This study firstly compares domestic and foreign research literature on forest parks,ecotourism and ecotourism carrying capacity,and summarizes the definition,composition and calculation methods of ecotourism carrying capacity of forest parks.Secondly,the model of ecotourism carrying capacity of forest parks is constructed,which includes five aspects: natural environment carrying capacity,resource space carrying capacity,infrastructure carrying capacity,recreation service carrying capacity and social environment carrying capacity.Then,taking the Lotus Sea National Forest Park located in the Tibetan area of western Sichuan Province as an example,we conducted an empirical study and measured the ecotourism carrying capacity of the Lotus Sea National Forest Park at the present stage and after the completion of the plan by means of field research and questionnaire survey.Finally,this study analyzes the ecotourism carrying capacity utilization of the Lotus Sea National Forest Park according to the calculation results and propose its improvement suggestions.The results of the study are as follows:(1)According to the barrel theory,the minimum value of each sub-carrying capacity component in the ecotourism carrying capacity is taken as its index value,that is,at this stage,the natural environment carrying capacity of Lotus Sea National Forest Park is2875 people/day,the resource space carrying capacity is 4227 people/day,the infrastructure carrying capacity is 120 people/day,the recreation service carrying capacity is 152 people/day,and the social environment carrying capacity is 2300people/day.Using the hierarchical analysis method(AHP)to calculate the comprehensive ecological tourism environment carrying capacity is 2491 people/day,and the annual carrying capacity is 448,380 people/year.(2)On the basis of the tourism life cycle theory,the ecotourism carrying capacity of the Lotus Sea National Forest Park after the completion of the plan was estimated,and the result was that the natural environment carrying capacity of the Lotus Sea National Forest Park after the completion of the plan was 11,250 people/day,and the resource space carrying capacity was 5,196 people/day.The infrastructure carrying capacity is2667 people/day,the recreational service carrying capacity is 1020 people/day and the social environment carrying capacity is 3464 people/day.The ecotourism carrying capacity of the Lotus Sea National Forest Park after the completion of the plan is 6701people/day and the annual carrying capacity is 1608240 people/year.(3)Lotus Sea National Forest Park is still in the early stage of tourism development,there are still imperfect infrastructure,entertainment projects need to be developed,the relative lack of human resources,management is relatively crude,tourism culture connotation excavation and publicity is not enough and many other problems.In the planning and construction,we should improve the infrastructure construction,moderate planning and development of entertainment projects;standardize the park management system and improve the service skills of staff;establish network information system and strengthen the daily monitoring of important indexes;increase the publicity and promotion channels and regulate the number of tourists in different time and space,in order to realize the sustainable development of ecotourism in the Lotus Sea National Forest Park.
