Qujing Cigarette Factory of Hongyun Honghe Tobacco(Group)Co.,Ltd transfers more than 800,000 quintals of tobacco leaves from Qujing tobacco area every year,and the quality inspection process is based on the appearance quality of tobacco leaves,which is to a certain extent subjectively dependent.In this paper,we analyzed and studied the appearance quality,intrinsic chemical composition and sensory evaluation quality of tobacco leaves transferred from Qujing tobacco area from 2018 to 2022 and conducted cluster analysis on the quality of tobacco leaves transferred in 2022,aiming to find out the differentiated characteristics of tobacco leaf quality in Qujing and provide data support for tobacco homogenization and re-baking processing,formula use and procurement and transfer.The main research results are as follows:1、Results of statistical analysis of appearance qualityThe appearance quality was relatively stable among different years in five areas,namely,Qilin district,Zhanyi district,Luoping county,Shizong county,and Huize county,and the variability was not significant from 2018 to 2022.The average appearance quality score in 2022 was lower than the rest of the years in all areas of Qujing.The highest average tobacco appearance quality scores were recorded in Malong District,with 68.30,75.16,and 62.86 for B2 F,C3F,and X2 F,respectively.2、Results of statistical analysis of chemical compositionThe differences between years of each chemical composition index in Qujing City from 2018 to 2022 are not significant,indicating that the quality of tobacco chemical composition in Qujing City is relatively stable between years.Nicotine content: most of the nicotine content among regions was in the range of chemical composition of high-quality roasted tobacco,among which the nicotine content of X2 F grade in Qilin District,Zhanyi District,Huize County and Fuyuan County was slightly lower than the range of chemical composition of high-quality roasted tobacco,and the nicotine content of B2 F grade in Shizong County and Luliang County was slightly higher than the range of nicotine content of high-quality roasted tobacco.Total sugar content: The overall total sugar content among all regions is higher than the chemical composition requirement of high-quality roasted tobacco.Reducing sugar content: The reducing sugar content of each region met the chemical composition requirements of high-quality roasted tobacco.Total nitrogen content:The total nitrogen content of each region is within the chemical composition requirements of high-quality roasted tobacco.Potassium-chlorine ratio: The potassium-chlorine ratio of each region meets or exceeds the chemical composition requirements of high-quality roasted tobacco,but the coefficient of variation of the potassium-chlorine ratio is large,and the coefficient of variation of the potassium-chlorine ratio of X2 F grade tobacco in Huize County is the largest at 122.91%.Starch content: The starch content in all regions was within the range of chemical composition requirements for high-quality roasted tobacco.3、Results of statistical analysis of sensory qualityThe differences in sensory quality scores of C3 F grade tobacco in nine counties and urban areas of Qujing City from 2018 to 2022 were not significant,indicating that the sensory quality of C3 F grade tobacco in Qujing City was relatively stable among different years.The highest average sensory quality scores among different regions Xuanwei City,B2 F,C3F,X2 F reached 73.62,82.00,66.40 points,respectively.The maximum coefficient of variation of different grades appeared in Zhanyi District and Huize County,where B2 F and X2 F grades had the highest coefficient of variation in Zhanyi District,8.54% and5.77%,respectively,and C3 F grade in Huize County had the highest coefficient of variation,6.34%.4、Clustering analysis results of the total score of appearance quality assignmentThe B2 F grade is divided into 3 categories,among which the appearance quality of Dongshan and Yuezhou Tobacco Stations in Qilin District,Yanfang and Panjiang Tobacco Stations in Zhanyi District is close;C3F and X2 F grades are divided into 2 categories,among which the C3 F grade is close to the appearance quality of Banqiao and Geyi Tobacco Stations in Xuanwei City,Zhongan and Laochang Tobacco Stations in Fuyuan County,Yanfang and Panjiang Tobacco Stations in Zhanyi District,Huoshui Tobacco Stations in Luliang County,Nagu and Tianba Tobacco Stations in Huize County,Dongshan and Yuezhou Tobacco Stations in Qilin District.The tobacco leaf stations in Huize County,Nagu and Tianba Tobacco Stations in Huize County,Dongshan and Yuezhou Tobacco Stations in Qilin District were close in appearance quality.5、Chemical composition cluster analysis resultsLevel B2F: Nicotine and total sugar content are divided into 3 categories,among which Nagu and Tianba Tobacco Stations in Huize County,Shibalianshan and Laochang Tobacco Stations in Fuyuan County are close to each other;according to the potassium-chloride ratio,they are divided into 2 categories,among which Reshui Tobacco Station in Xuanwei County and Nagu Tobacco Station in Huize County are close to each other,The total sugar content is divided into 3 categories,among which the total sugar content is close to that of Agan Tobacco Station in Luoping County and Yanfang Tobacco Station in Zhanyi District.X2 F grade: nicotine content and potassium chloride ratio are divided into 2 categories,total sugar content is divided into 3 categories.6、Cluster analysis results of the total sensory quality scoreThe B2 F grade is divided into 2 categories,and the sensory quality is similar in all sampling sites except for Nagu Tobacco Station in Huize County;C3F and X2 F grades are divided into 3 categories,Which is C3 F grade,The sensory quality of Panjiang Tobacco Station in Zhanyi District,Laochang Tobacco Station in Fuyuan County,Maguohe Tobacco Station in Malong District,Longqing Tobacco Station in Shizong County,Agang Tobacco Station in Luoping County,Xiaobaihu and Longhai Tobacco Stations in Luliang County,and Geyi,Reshui and Banqiao Tobacco Stations in Xuanwei City was close.
