Tie-dyeing is one of the traditional hand-made printing and dyeing techniques in my country and is an extremely precious national intangible cultural heritage. It has a long history in our country. It began in the Qin and Han Dynasties, flourished in the Tang Dynasty, declined in the Song Dynasty, and revived in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After continuous development in modern times,it was listed as a national intangible material cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture in 2006.With the continuous development of modern technology, various chemical dyes and large-scale machine printing and dyeing have impacted the traditional hand-dyeing industry, making the hand-dyeing process unknown to people. In recent years, due to the importance and protection of "intangible cultural heritage",more and more people begin to pay attention to the study of traditional handicrafts.Traditional handicrafts have also begun to reappear in front of audiences in ways that integrate with other art forms, such as the application of tie-dye in interior decoration design and fashion design.Inspired by this,I applied the tie-dyeing process to the creation of traditional Chinese painting, explored new application directions of the traditional tie-dyeing process, and added new ways for the inheritance and development of tie-dyeing.This thesis first draws inspiration from the meaning, history, technique, and pattern modeling language of tie-dyeing technology, and then uses the unique pattern modeling language and craft techniques of tie-dyeing technology to combine tie-dyeing art with traditional Chinese painting in a practical way of creation. And in the last chapter of the article,it introduces the relevant techniques used in this creative research, and explains some problems and remedial methods that may arise in the combination of the two arts. The exploratory attempt to apply tie-dye techniques to the creation of Chinese painting adds a new way for tie-dye techniques to be integrated into people’s lives,so as to spread tie-dye art more widely, promote and inherit the intangible cultural heritage, and at the same time achieve the effect of enriching the expression language of Chinese painting. |
