Willingness Of Green Travel In The City Of Shijiazhuang And Certain Policy Recommendations

While the urbanization progress forwarding,increasing urban size,traffic congestion,air and noise pollution lead to a travel capacity insufficiency of urban transportation system towards certain demand of urban population.For solution,it is necessary to promote the green travel mindset in public and requires the government to deliver professional and reasonable policies which to enhance the environment of growth of green travel willingness and manners,realizing sustainable development of urban transportation.Based on domestic and oversea reference literatures,this thesis aims to investigate formations of green travel and the influencing factors in such progress,to pertinently propose countermeasures which support government’s green travel policy making in the city of Shijiazhuang.The main work of this research is to build a theoretical model of the influencing factors for urban population’s green travel willingness on Shijiazhuang,based on rational behavior theory,planned behavior theory,attitude-situation-behavior theory,etc.,and deliver seven research hypotheses.By regression analysis methods,targeted influencing factors are quantified and prioritized.Certain policy recommendations are made from perspectives of the government,society,and individual.Key finding shows that residents’ psychological factors,green travel cognition factors and government policy factors contribute positive impact on green travel willingness.Prioritization is perceptual behavior control,policy,individual attitudes,subjective norms,and cognition.Regarding sample attributes,except for gender,all other attributes,such as age,income,education,occupation,and the number of private car ownership,show significant impact on the willingness of green travel.The investigation in this thesis could help the government to formulate policies scientifically and rationally to promote green travel in the city of Shijiazhuang,it could also be reference for certain policy formulation in other domestic cities.
