With the continuous increase in the number of cars in China,it is increasingly important to ensure the supply of refined oil.How to supply gasoline to the huge and scattered gas stations? How to improve logistics efficiency and lessen transportation costs? These questions have become key issues that many scholars and enterprises pay attention to.Company Z is a company established in Tianjin with one of its main businesses selling gasoline.In recent years,the market share of Company Z has shrunk,and its profits have decreased-even losses have occurred.Among the operating costs of Company Z,gasoline transportation and distribution account for a large proportion of the total.It is of great significance for Company Z to optimize its gasoline transportation and distribution to reduce costs,improve customer satisfaction and enhance market competitiveness.This thesis first analyzes the status and problems of company Z and its gasoline transportation and distribution qualitatively.Secondly,we preliminarily put forward the idea that Company Z needs to set up a fleet dispatching decision support system and we build its core module.With the goal of lessening the cost of gasoline transportation and distribution reasonably under the premise of meeting the demand of gas stations,the problem of gasoline transportation and distribution of Company Z is transformed into a mixed-integer mathematical optimization problem.The thesis designs a tabu search algorithm to solve it.Thirdly,we test our model and algorithm.They are proven that can be used to solve problems in the real world,which gained satisfactory optimization results.We also conduct a sensitivity analysis to find the key factors affecting transportation costs.Finally,the thesis put forward countermeasures and suggestions for Company Z’s gasoline transportation.Company Z has intended to put the model,algorithm and countermeasures proposed in this thesis into practice.The research achievements have implications for the practice of the gasoline transportation industry and other similar logistics and transportation industries.
