As post-90 s continues to enter the labor market, their separation rate is remarkably higher than post-70 s and 80 s generations in many industries.Based on 160 samples of post-90 s employees of XH company, this study empirically investigates the relationship between job satisfaction, its influencing factors and turnover intention by using a self-designed scale.Referring to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs,Motivator-Hygiene Theory, models such as Mobley’s Intermediate linkage,Steers and Mowday employee turnover model, and classical scales such as Job Descriptive Index,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, this study proposed a series of hypotheses.Taking influencing factors as independent variables, job satisfaction and turnover intention as dependent variables, this study confirmed hypotheses by using statistical and analyzing methods including descriptive statistics, cross analysis, tests on reliability and validity, principle component extraction, correlation and regression analysis. This study has found that job satisfaction is significantly and inversely correlated with turnover intention; There are significant differences in job satisfaction among employees of different genders, length of service, and region of origin;while there is no obvious difference of generations, degrees or residence types. There are significant differences in turnover intention among employees of different length of service and region of origin;while there is no obvious difference of genders, generations, degrees or residence types. In the 5 extracted components, mood for work, supporting facilities, interpersonal interaction, labor site and reward affect job satisfaction significantly and positively;while scheduling reasonableness makes no obvious impact on job satisfaction. All 5 components have negatively significant impact on turnover intention. The above findings illustrate the relationship among job satisfaction, its influencing factors and turnover intention. On this basis, the study puts forward targeted management countermeasures, which offers new ideas and empirical evidence for traditional metallurgical manufacturing or labor-intensive enterprises.
