With the rapid development of modern hot rolling technology,while the production of steel is increasing,the requirements for product quality are also becoming increasingly strict.As the last process in the hot strip rolling production line,the constant control of coiling tension has a significant impact on the product quality of the plate and strip.As one of the key factors affecting coiling tension,the diameter of the steel coil has become a difficult point in the field of rolling research.This project designs a high-precision real-time measurement system for steel coil diameter based on machine vision measurement technology,and establishes a corresponding coiling tension control model.This has important theoretical and practical significance for improving the yield of steel coils and the surface quality of strip steel.Addressing the shortcomings of current research on roll diameter detection,propose an online measurement method for hot rolled steel coil diameter based on machine vision and a control algorithm for optimizing coiling tension using adaptive PID.Through the research and selection of hardware and image processing algorithms such as industrial cameras,the establishment of an online measurement system for coil diameter is completed.Calibration methods and subpixel edge detection algorithms for large-sized objects such as steel coils are also studied.Online and thermal experiments are conducted on the visual measurement system to verify its detection accuracy and dynamic performance.Combining the principle of coil diameter measurement system and coiling tension control,based on the traditional PID control algorithm and adaptive control theory,the stable control of coiling tension is optimized,and the simulation of tension control model is completed using Simulink.Finally,based on the.NET platform and using C # language,the Halcon image processing program was called to complete the design and construction of the software interface for measuring the diameter and tension control of hot rolled steel coils.The accuracy of roll diameter detection in this visual measurement system can reach96.93%.The optimized tension control model has significant performance improvements in speed response and tension fluctuation,effectively ensuring constant control of coiling tension.At the same time,expected functions such as visualization of coiling status,online detection of roll diameter,and real-time display of tension are achieved on the software interface.
