| Strengthening the protection of "intangible cultural heritage" and revitalizing traditional handicrafts are new demands for cultural confidence in the new era.During the 20 years since the launch of the ICH project,China has issued policies on strengthening the protection and management of intangible cultural heritage in order to enhance the protection,inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage.In this context,the "intangible heritage fever" has only increased.This background provides an opportunity for the development of Jingzhou folk embroidery,a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage project in Hubei Province.Jingzhou folk embroidery is a local embroidery rooted in the folklore of Jingzhou,and is the best living testimony to the practical aesthetics of folklore in history.Since Jingzhou is the birthplace of the Chu culture,Jingzhou folk embroidery also retains a strong Chu embroidery style.However,as traditional embroidery has returned to the public with a new look through innovative design,I find that Jingzhou folk embroidery has received far less attention than other traditional crafts in Hubei Province.Therefore,the author uses its simple and romantic folk patterns,bright and colorful color schemes and rich and varied stitching techniques to combine with Chinese wedding costumes.The author tries to focus on the innovative design of Chinese wedding costumes while focusing on Jingzhou folk embroidery from a professional perspective,combining the artistic characteristics of Jingzhou folk embroidery with the style of Chinese wedding costumes to realize the creative transformation and innovative application of Jingzhou folk embroidery.The aim is to better protect and inherit Jingzhou folk embroidery.Based on the collection of graphic data and practical experience,this paper adopts the literature research method,field survey method,physical observation method,case study method and interdisciplinary research method to conduct a thematic and systematic study on the application of Jingzhou folk embroidery in Chinese wedding costume design.The paper is divided into five parts,and the overall trend revolves around Jingzhou folk embroidery from shallow to deep,from cultural research to design practice,according to the general division format.The first part is the introduction,which is mainly to sort out the previous studies and to serve as a guide for the subsequent studies.The second part starts from the whole,aiming to clearly understand the past and present of Jingzhou folk embroidery from a macro perspective,and systematically analyze the cultural characteristics and overall style of Jingzhou folk embroidery.The third part is a microscopic analysis of Jingzhou folk embroidery patterns in terms of subject matter,color schemes,stitching techniques,and artistic shapes,which is then digitally extracted and built into a vector pattern library to provide a better reference for the next design practice.The fourth and fifth parts are the focus of this project,focusing on the design practice of Jingzhou folk embroidery in Chinese wedding dresses,proposing design principles of Jingzhou folk embroidery in Chinese wedding dresses,and exploring the innovative application methods of Jingzhou folk embroidery in Chinese wedding dresses.We also conduct preliminary practice and analyze the purchase intention of consumers to explore the feasibility of combining Jingzhou folk embroidery and Chinese wedding dresses,and provide guidelines for later practice.The fifth part of the thesis is the practical part of the graduation design,through the conclusions drawn from the results of the preliminary research,combined with the consideration of the protection strategy of Jingzhou folk embroidery,the practical research is launched.The author believes that the organic integration of Chu culture and folk embroidery culture will have a positive effect on the promotion and protection of Jingzhou folk embroidery.This paper is dedicated to the theoretical research and design practice of "small but fine" application of Jingzhou folk embroidery on Chinese wedding dress.Finally,we will design and innovate according to the analysis results.The main purpose of this paper is to take the artistic representation of Jingzhou folk embroidery as the material base,combine it with the current fashion trend,and make use of the carrier of Chinese wedding costume to show the cultural characteristics and artistic representation of Jingzhou folk embroidery through Chinese wedding costume.This project will not only promote the inheritance,protection and innovation of Jingzhou folk embroidery,but also provide more inspiration for the design of Chinese wedding costumes. |
