A Study Of The Elements Of The Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival And Its Contemporary Costume Design Practice

As an important part of China’s traditional festival culture,the Lantern Festival was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008.The festival was influenced by the politics,economy and culture of the Ming Dynasty,resulting in a Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival with unique artistic characteristics,cultural connotations and historical heritage.This thesis takes the elements of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival as the research object,and focuses on the application of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival costume design.Inheritance and development of traditional festival culture is an important part of cultural construction,and costumes play a pivotal role in the dissemination of traditional culture,so the study of contemporary costume design practice of Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements can help the cultural inheritance and development of Lantern Festival.In the process of this paper,we use literature and historical research methods to conduct in-depth research on the research value,contemporary inheritance status,element composition and symbolic meaning of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival.On this basis,market research,design practice,and generalization are used to further study the application of Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements in contemporary Hanfu,new Chinese style,and national trend clothing,and design attempts are made based on the summary of design principles and methods.On the basis of the theoretical study of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements and the analysis of contemporary clothing design cases,the creative ideas and practical paths of contemporary clothing design of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements are completed,and the graduation work design practice is finally completed,with a view to producing Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival day cultural clothing that meets contemporary aesthetics.The innovation of this paper lies in the detailed introduction of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements and their symbolic meaning,and the analysis of the current application of the Ming Dynasty Lantern Festival elements in contemporary costumes,and the completion of the graduation work design practice and digital presentation and display using Style3D.
