Based on the existing problems of children’s outdoor amusement equipment in China,such as lack of attraction and poor game experience,this paper analyzes the design factors affecting children’s outdoor amusement equipment flow experience,and combined with relevant excellent design cases at home and abroad,puts forward the design strategy to improve children’s outdoor amusement equipment flow experience,starting with improving relevant design elements and principles of flow experience.From the perspective of shape,structure,function and human factor engineering,the outdoor amusement equipment for children is designed to trigger the flow experience of children users more easily and obtain the best game immersion,so that children’s outdoor amusement equipment can better guide children to participate in outdoor activities,play a more effective role of entertaining and teaching,and promote children’s physical and mental health development.Based on the analysis of flow theory and related theories of children’s play behavior,the relationship between children’s play behavior and flow experience was established,and SOCARP observation experiment was designed based on the questionnaire of flow experience evaluation.On the basis of the analysis of experimental data,the correlation between different behavior characteristics and flow experience in children’s play was further explored.In this way,the behavioral elements that are most likely to trigger the central flow experience in children’s play process are identified.Then,through the analysis of the types and characteristics of existing outdoor amusement equipment for children in the market,the advantages and disadvantages and flow indicators of different types of outdoor amusement equipment for children are assessed,and the flow experience design elements of outdoor amusement equipment for children are sorted out.At the same time,a questionnaire is designed to further investigate the needs of potential users of outdoor amusement equipment for children.So as to find a suitable entry point for optimizing the flow experience design of children’s outdoor amusement equipment.On the basis of the analysis of experimental data,the correlation between different behavior characteristics and flow experience in children’s play was further explored.In this way,the behavioral elements that are most likely to trigger the central flow experience in children’s play process are identified.Then,through the analysis of the types and characteristics of existing outdoor amusement equipment for children in the market,the advantages and disadvantages and flow indicators of different types of outdoor amusement equipment for children are assessed,and the flow experience design elements of outdoor amusement equipment for children are sorted out.At the same time,a questionnaire is designed to further investigate the needs of potential users of outdoor amusement equipment for children.So as to find a suitable entry point for optimizing the flow experience design of children’s outdoor amusement equipment.On the basis of investigation and experiment results,relevant design requirements and strategies for improving the flow experience of children’s outdoor amusement equipment are put forward,innovative optimization schemes are made in terms of gameplay,appearance and structure,and the design sizes of main components of children’s outdoor amusement equipment are determined by combining ergonomics theory,so as to further standardize the design of children’s outdoor amusement equipment.Finally,a scientific,reasonable and easy to trigger children’s flow experience outdoor amusement equipment model is designed by using modeling software.
