Urbanization is a thorough process of upgrading industrial structure,moving people from rural to urban areas,and switching from a rural-based to an urban-based production mode.It is an inevitable outcome of human social and economic growth.The level of urbanization and the general quality of life in China have both greatly increased,and the country is currently in an advanced stage of urbanization.Yet,the development of China’s new urbanization has been severely hampered and damaged by the rising resource consumption as well as the more pressing ecological and environmental issues.The ecological environment has been severely harmed in recent years due to difficulties with air pollution,water pollution,land desertification,and other issues,which poses a serious threat to the urban ecological system.The ecological environment has been severely harmed in recent years due to difficulties with air pollution,water pollution,land desertification,and other issues.This poses a serious threat to the urban ecological environment as well as the sustainable development of human survival.The study of the coordinated development of the ecological environment and urbanization is very important since it is tied to the individual interests and welfare of every citizen.This study uses the Poyang Lake Ecological and Economic Zone as the research area,utilizing the GEE remote sensing cloud computing platform to obtain data from the LANDSAT and MODIS satellites,perform image screening,image stitching,minimum cloud synthesis,and other processing,as well as online extraction of the five ecological environmental indicators of greenness,humidity,temperature,dryness,and aerosol optical thickness to construct a model(ARSEI).Additionally,the average local GDP calculated by the statistical yearbook is used for confirmation to characterize the level of urbanization,and the DMSP/OLS and like-NPP/VIIRS nighttime light remote sensing data are continuously corrected to calculate the average light intensity and effective light area of each district and county to construct the nighttime light index(CNLI).The coupled and coordinated results of the study area in2020 are classified into categories,and corresponding regulation suggestions are put forth.Finally,a coupled and coordinated development model is introduced to analyze the coupled and coordinated development changes of regional ecological environment and urbanization,and to further analyze the relationship between the degree of coupled and coordinated development and ecological environment quality and level of urbanization.The following are the key research conclusions:(1)The GEE platform’s surface greenness,surface humidity,surface temperature,surface dryness,and aerosol optical thickness indexes were combined to create the ecological environment quality index(EQI).In terms of time,the overall ARSEI of the research region in 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020 exhibited a tendency of slightly falling and then continually increasing,and the ecological environment quality gradually changed from "medium" to "good" and "excellent." "Excellent".Fuliang County,Wuning County,Wanli District,Pengze County,and Guixi City are a few districts and counties with superior ecological conditions,while the ecological conditions in Xihu District,Qingyunpu District,Zhushan District,Donghu District,and Xunyang District are subpar.According to the spatial distribution,regions of "medium" grade are the most evenly dispersed,while "poor" and "very poor" grade areas are more concentrated in each district and county’s built-up areas and the areas around them.and "good" grade areas are primarily found along the study area’s northern and western borders,exhibiting a general spatial pattern of "high edge and low core." According to the difference analysis,the study region’s ecological quality has increased over the past 20 years since the area of ecological improvement is significantly bigger than the area of ecological degradation between 2000 and 2020.While the ecological environments of five districts and counties—Nanchang,Changjiang,Zhushan,Qingyunpu,and Qingshan Lake—increased badly,the ecological quality of five districts and counties—Ruichang,Wuning,De’an,Dongxiang,and Yongxiu—improved the most.(2)The evening light index(CNLI)was created by continuously correcting the nighttime light data in order to characterize the urbanization level.The CNLI values show a consistent upward trend in the past 20 years,with a large increase.This suggests that the study area’s level of urbanization has significantly increased during this time,and its economic development has constantly improved.The spatial pattern of "one big center and several small centers" has developed over time,as has the spatial distribution characteristic of "high center and low surrounding." The change rate of the CNLI is also evident;the fastest rising districts are Qingyunpu,Xihu,Xunyang,Qingshan Lake,and Yuehu;all of these cities have rise rates above 0.4;the slowest rising districts are Wuning,Duchang,Poyang,Yogan,Jinxian,and Fuliang;these counties have rise rates below 0.05.(3)The coupling coordination degree model states that the ecological environment quality index and night light index of each district and county are used to determine the coupling coordination development degree of each district and county in the years 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020.Overall,the degree of coupled coordinated development in each district and county in the study area from 2000 to2020 has increased to some extent,showing that the Poyang Lake Ecological and Economic Zone’s coordinated development of the natural environment and urbanization has improved over the past 20 years.In order to further understand the relationship between coupling coordination degree,ecological environment,and urbanization in the study area,it is discovered that the linear correlation between coupling coordination degree,ecological environment quality,and urbanization level,show more significant positive correlations,and the coupling coordination degree increases rapidly with the increase of CNLI when the value of The coupling coordination degree increases more slowly with CNLI when the CNLI value exceeds0.5.It can be assumed that the urbanization development in the study area is the primary factor affecting the development level of the coupling coordination degree because the correlation between the coupling coordination degree and the level of urbanization in each year is greater than that of the ecological environment quality and the difference is larger.(4)The coupling and coordination degrees of ecological and environmental quality and urbanization levels were grouped into three broad categories and 10 subcategories of coordinated development,transformational development,and dysfunctional deterioration.It was found that the number of districts and counties in the study area in the type of coordinated coupling increased during 2000-2020,and the overall coupling coordination degree showed the spatial distribution characteristics of "four centers,radiating outward" with East Lake District and Qingshan Lake District as large centers and Xunyang District,Zhushan District and Yuehu District as small centers,forming a spatial pattern of coordinated development of multiple town centers.spatial pattern.This paper also offers guidance suggestions for the sustainable development of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone in Jiangxi Province based on the coupling results of the study area in 2020 for the cities with disorder and degradation,cities with transformation,and cities with coordinated development. |
