At present, with the intensification of global warming, there have been a series of ecological and environmental problems, the most important factor is the greenhouse effect.China has formulated a specific plan for "3060" development, which aims to peak CO2 emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.Accelerating the transformation of our country animal husbandry industry to lowcarbon has become urgent.Shihezi is the main breeding area of Xinjiang. The cattle and pig breeding development scale of Shihezi accounts for a large share in Xinjiang, and the carbon emissions brought by it cannot be ignored. In view of this, this paper will carry out a systematic study on the carbon emission of animal husbandry in Shihezi,in order to provide necessary reference for accelerating the low-carbon production of animal husbandry.Based on the statistical data of the number of pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry in Shihezi from 2012 to 2020 and after the completion of the "Thousand hundred Trillion" project, combined with the carbon emission coefficient, the carbon emission calculation model of Shihezi animal husbandry was constructed to measure the direct carbon emission and indirect carbon emission, and then the total amount, structure and intensity of carbon emission of Shihezi animal husbandry were analyzed and studied.Through calculation, this paper finds that the low-carbon development of animal husbandry still has the following problems.First of all,the total amount of carbon emissions is increasing.Direct carbon emissions increased from 2012 to 100,800 tons in 2020,and to 203,700 tons after the completion of the "Quadrillion" project.Indirect carbon emissions increased from 2012 to 3,228,900 tons in 2020,and increased to 6,353,000 tons after the completion of the "Thousand Trillion" project.Reducing indirect carbon emissions from animal husbandry has become the primary task of carbon emission reduction in Shihezi animal husbandry. On the other hand, the total carbon emission control is not obvious.Shihezi has not established a complete mechanism for the low-carbon development of animal husbandry, and has not established relevant policies and regulations.Secondly,in terms of carbon emission structure,on the one hand, ruminants emit more carbon. It has been estimated that the intestinal fermentation of cattle accounts for one-third of the total direct carbon emissions, and it is particularly important to reduce the carbon emissions of ruminants during feeding. On the other hand, the output structure of animal husbandry needs to be improved. Finally,in terms of carbon emission intensity, the first is the lack of the latest technological support.Second, the manure equipment of livestock farms needs to be improved, the scale needs to be continuously expanded, and the utilization of livestock and poultry manure resources still needs to be deepened. The third is the poor awareness of environmental protection, lack of low-carbon animal husbandry cognition. Therefore, the low-carbon development of animal husbandry in Shihezi can be realized mainly from the following three dimensions:(1)structural aspects: reducing carbon emissions of ruminants and realizing energy substitution;(2)In terms of intensity: strengthening scientific and technological support, upgrading and rational selection of feed, regulating livestock house environment and equipment energy consumption, and enhancing the utilization level of livestock and poultry waste resources;(3)Total amount:promote the combination of agriculture and animal husbandry, and vigorously develop grassland and forest carbon sinks. At the same time, further safeguards are proposed. The low-carbon development of Shihezi animal husbandry is imperative. The calculation and analysis of carbon emissions of animal husbandry and the proposed path can increase the cognition of the current situation of low-carbon development of animal husbandry and provide theoretical support for effectively promoting the low-carbon development of animal husbandry in Shihezi.
