Currently, the design of amusement facilities in kindergartens places too much emphasis on equipment decoration, resulting in relatively weak functionality of the equipment. However, children may lose interest in the decorative elements of the equipment, and even have a rejection mentality, which to some extent can lead to a waste of resources. At the same time, research has shown that children’s mental health problems are becoming increasingly serious, and kindergarten recreation facilities are the main game equipment for children, but less consideration is given to children’s mental health development needs in the device design process. In this context, the author redesigned kindergarten recreation facilities from a health perspective to promote the physical and mental health development of children, while making up for the shortcomings of existing kindergarten recreation facilities. The research of this topic takes kindergarten amusement facilities as the carrier, and the design concept of health industry as the guiding concept.Firstly, summarize the classification and functional attributes of existing kindergarten amusement facilities, and summarize the design status and trends of kindergarten amusement facilities through case analysis. At the same time,it discusses and summarizes the relevant concepts, working principles, and evaluation methods of the health industry design concept, paving the way for subsequent design research and design practice. In the design research phase, desktop research was used to analyze the physiological development related characteristics and psychological status of 3-6 year old preschool children.Further, through in-depth interviews and behavioral observation, the key needs of children’s development are deeply explored, and the conclusions drawn from qualitative research are verified through questionnaire research. Finally, the needs of children’s health development obtained from qualitative and quantitative analysis are collated and analyzed, and converted into design opportunities.During the design element exploration stage, the health industry design concept and working principles are used to summarize the factors that affect the user’s health(element A),the user’s use purpose(element B),the user’s behavior habits(element C),and the constituent elements of kindergarten amusement facilities(element D),and matching analysis is conducted on the antecedent elements to clarify the relationship between various design elements,And optimize the factors that affect children’s use experience and healthy development. In the design practice stage, users’ needs and design considerations are summarized based on research and element matching, and the game system and functional system of amusement facilities are constructed. Finally, the development of coordination, agility, balance, and flexibility for kindergarten children in the process of playing amusement facilities,as well as the development of children’s language skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities,as well as the development of children’s cooperative ability and social relations, are realized.
