| Energy and mineral resources arc the foundation and driving force of a country’s economic and social development.Over-reliance on the energy industry will result in dual pressures of economic growth slowdown and severe environmental pollution.The rapid development of the energy industry in Shaanxi Province,driven by high economic growth and rapid industrialization,has achieved large-scale expansion,but at the cost of resource consumption and aggravation of environmental pollution.Facing the pressure of environmental protection,how to reduce environmental pollution,improve resource efficiency,and achieve green development presents new challenges to the social and economic development of Shaanxi Province.Therefore,from the perspective of environmental regulation,analyzing the impact path of improving the efficiency of green technology innovation in the energy industry can solve the problems,which is,excessive resource consumption and severe environmental pollution.Additionally,it effectively promotes the development of green technology innovation in the energy industry,allowing green technology to become a true driving force for high-quality development in the energy industry.The paper explores the role of environmental regulation in the energy industry of Shaanxi Province in enhancing the efficiency of green technology innovation.Firstly,the existing environmental regulations and relevant research on green technological innovations were reviewed.Subsequently,taking into account the development status of the energy industry in Shaanxi province,this research framework was constructed.Secondly,adhering to scientific indicator construction principles,the paper establishes an indicator system for measuring green technology innovation efficiency,and constructs a super-efficient SBM model to calculate the green technology innovation efficiency of 11 energy industry sectors in Shaanxi Province from 2011 to 2019,and evaluates green technology innovation efficiency from both static and dynamic perspectives using the Malmquist index.Thirdly,tThe impact of environmental regulation and control variables on the efficiency of green technology innovation was empirically tested by using a fixed-effect model,including enterprise scale,technological innovation level,industrial structure,R&D investment and financial scientific research investment.Finally,considering the aforementioned research findings,this paper proposes p olicy recommendations to promote the efficiency improvement of green technology innovation in the energy industry from the perspective of environmental regulations.Through research it was found that:(1)By measuring the environmental regulation intensity and green technology innovation efficiency in Shaanxi Province’s energy industry,it was found that there are industry differences in environmental regulation intensity and the efficiency level of green technology innovation is generally on the rise,but there is also an issue of uneven efficiency values among industries.(2)Through the study of the relationship between environmental regulations and green technological innovation,it has been found that environmental regulations promote the efficiency of green technological innovation in the energy industry.Enterprise size and government scientific research funding have a significant positive impact on green technology innovation efficiency,while technology innovation level,industry structure,and R&D investment have a significant negative impact on green technology innovation efficiency. |
