Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber(HNBR)was obtained by hydrogenation of nitrile butadiene rubber.The structure of rubber molecular chain affects its properties.In general,nitrile groups provide rubber with excellent oil resistance,chemical resistance and tensile strength.A few double bonds provide cross-linking sites as well as reaction sites.The four or more consecutive methylene groups gives the rubber a certain strength.In order to further optimize the properties of hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber.In this paper,bromo-hydrogenated nitrile butadiene ester rubber(EBHNBR)and self-crosslinked bromo-hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber(BHNBR)were prepared successfully by bromination modification and esterification modification.The mechanical properties,heat resistance and oil resistance of the modified rubber were studied.The specific research content includes the following contents:1.N-bromo-succinimide(NBS)was used as bromination reagent to prepare BHNBR,and the influences of reaction solvent,reaction time,reaction agent and bromination reagent on the bromination reaction were explored.Then,the structure of BHNBR was analyzed by ~1H NMR and FTIR.It was proved that bromine was grafted on the main chain of HNBR molecule in the form of allyl bromide.The self-crosslinking mechanism of BHNBR was analyzed by~1H NMR and tensile test.The self-crosslinking mechanism of BHNBR was analyzed by ~1H NMR and tensile test.The properties of HNBR and self-crosslinking BHNBR were characterized by TGA,DMA,tensile,tearing,aging resistance and oil resistance.It was found that the modified self-crosslinking rubber had excellent mechanical properties and oil resistance.2.We prepared EBHNBR by substituting bromine in the molecular chain of BHNBR for Monomethyl iconate(MMI),monobutyl iticonate(MBI)and Monododecyl iconate(MDDI).The influence of reaction conditions on esterification was also investigated.The effect of BPO on esterification was analyzed by GPC and tensile test.When BPO is not added,the tensile strength of rubber is improved.Then,the structure of EBHNBR was analyzed by ~1H NMR and FTIR spectra,and the successful grafting of these three monomers on the molecular chain of HNBR was proved.DSC test showed that the low temperature resistance of modified rubber was improved.However,in TGA test,the initial decomposition temperature decreases and the heat resistance decreases.At the same time,the aging resistance and hydrophobic and oleophobic properties of EBHNBR are improved.
