Small and medium-sized enterprises are important parts of Chinese market.They play an important role in stabilizing economic growth,expanding employment,promoting scientific and technological innovation,expanding market prosperity and meeting residents’ demands.Meanwhile,foreign trade,with extremely strong resilience and vigorous vitality,is playing an important role of China’s open economy.In the face of the complex and severe international and domestic economic situation and the impact of the severe global covid-19 virus pandemic,private enterprises which mainly composed of small and medium-sized enterprises,contributed more than 50% of the total value of import and export trade in 2022,making remarkable achievements in development.Although small and medium-sized enterprises are a strong support for China’s current and future economic development and social stability,the development of small and medium-sized enterprises is not optimistic.In addition to the influence of macro factors,the lack of internal strategy and poor management are the most important reasons for the high death rate of small and medium-sized enterprises.This paper takes SDS Foreign Trade Company as an example,uses first-hand materials and information,carries out data listing and analysis of SDS Company in all aspects.Through the integration of these analyses and the future forecast of the industry,allocates the company resources reasonable,find the company’s development direction,and formulate the company’s competitive strategy.When the epidemic is coming to an end,the trade industry will usher in a round of competition involving the survival of enterprises,this paper will provide reference direction for the development ideas,strategy formulation and optimization of general small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises.The paper analyzes the macro environment through PEST model.Five forces model for industry environment analysis.Compare with competitors,and SWOT analysis was used to study SDS’s current strengths and weaknesses,opportunities and challenges under the epidemic and the booming development mode of e-Commerce.Make the competitive strategy options available to SDS Company,and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each competitive strategy option.Finally find the best plan of SDS Company’s current strategic choice and how to implement and safeguard the competitive strategy.This paper tries to offer an option to solve the small and medium-sized enterprises’ survival problem within a short term,and gain competitive advantages in a long term.
