Since China joined the WTO,it has actively taken part in foreign trades and becomes a"world factory" with cost advantage,and foreign trade has become one of the "troikas" that boosts the economy.Meanwhile small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises become the main force of export business which has also contributed to China's economic development and employment.Faced with the increasingly fierce market competition and the gradual regulation of the national export system,many small and medium-sized enterprises have been eliminated from competition due to their own management problems.How to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises has become a top priority for such enterprises.Human resource is the most important aspect in core competitiveness while compensation structure is the key part in human resource.Therefore,it is necessary to formulate a scientific and reasonable compensation structure to achieve the goal of attracting high-quality talents and improving employee enthusiasm,thus to help the company to develop in the long run.Combined with the compensation theory and the method of compensation structure optimization,this paper takes Z Company as the research object to diagnose the current situation of Z Company's compensation structure.Then use the methods of questionnaire survey,employee interview,and analyze the problems existing in Z company's compesation structure with SPSS software,such as low post compensation level,imperfect part of welfare items,unscientific performance compensation evaluation and so on.In order to solve these problems,this paper follows the incentive,competitive and economic principles,and optimizes the compensation structure on the basis of "performance-oriented,post compensation as auxiliary".Then follow below steps to design the compensation structure,such as job analysis,job value evaluation,job grade design,salary survey and positioning to design a new compensation structure.Finally,this article compared the new compensation structure with previous one and made final conclusion.How to reasonably optimize the compensation structure has become an urgent issue for most foreign trade companies because of the serious foreign trade environment.Z company is also one of the typical representatives.Author hopes to provide reference and suggestions for similar companies through this paper.
