Most of the sheet masks currently used for skin care are made of non-woven fabric and loaded with liquid active ingredients that have different functions and contain additives for long-term preservation purposes.Traditional liquid sheet masks suffer from problems such as dripping of the essence,low transparency of the membrane and the active ingredients not being easily absorbed by the skin,so there is still a need for continuous research and development of new masks in terms of both material and structural design.Electrospun fibrous membranes have the advantages of large specific surface area,high porosity and can be loaded with active ingredients.In addition,they are simple to operate,and the shape and diameter of the prepared fibers can be controlled to ensure smooth and efficient absorption of active substances into the skin,which is widely used in the field of beauty and skin care.Based on this paper,a transparent,additive-free,two-layer composite fiber mask was developed for use with skin moisturizing.The inner layer,the functional layer,is a solid soluble fibrous membrane that effectively removes additives,while the outer layer,the base layer,has high transparency and targeted water transport to achieve high moisturizing properties of the mask.The design of this double-layer composite membrane enriches the variety of mask markets and provides new ideas for further research on masks.The full study is divided into three main parts as follows.The first part is preparation of GE-HA dry state soluble fibrous membranes.Using gelatin(GE)and hyaluronic acid(HA)with excellent performance as raw materials,Hexafluoroisopropanol and water were dissolved in a ratio of 1.5:1 for each of the above raw materials and mixed to obtain a homogeneous spinning solution.The GE-HA dry soluble fibrous membrane was prepared by electrostatic spinning technique,and the effect of the amount of HA added and the area density of the membrane itself on its water absorption and moisture retention performance was investigated.The results showed that when the concentration of GE was 20%and the concentration of HA was 3%,the diameter of GE-HA fibrous membrane was well arranged and evenly distributed,with an average diameter of 1.83±0.64μm;and when the area density of GE-HA fibrous membrane was 1.2 mg/cm~2,the skin moisturizing property could be increased from 16.1%±2.43%to 60.45%±1.82%within 10 min,which was sufficient used as a mask to provide high moisturizing effect on the skin.The second part is preparation and performance study of GE-HA/spunlacement base cloth double-layer composite mask.To address the problems of weak mechanical properties and inconvenient use of GE-HA fibrous film alone,it was laminated with a commercially available hydroentangled mask base fabric.Twelve types of hydroentangled base cloths were collected to investigate the effects of fibrous raw materials,ratio and grammage of base cloth on their related properties;and six of the hydroentangled base cloths were laminated with dry GE-HA fibrous film to study their transparency and water absorption and moisture retention properties.The results show that the lower the surface density,the lower the mechanical properties,but the better the breathability,softness and transparency of the same fiber material.At the same gram weight,the transparency of Tencel fibers was the best.The highest transparency of 80.18%±10.45%was achieved when 20/80 Chitosan/Tencel hydroentanglement fabric with a surface density of 3 mg/cm~2 was used as the base layer,and the skin moisturizing properties could be increased from 15%±2.74%to 86.8%±2.28%within10 minutes.The third part is preparation and performance study of GE-HA-PA6 double-layer composite mask.Although the composite of hydroentangled base cloth solves the problem of inconvenient use of GE-HA fibrous membrane alone,the surface density of the hydroentangled cloth is still higher compared to that of GE-HA fibrous membrane due to the limitation of the hydroentangled production process,so the ultra-thin PA6fibrous membrane was chosen to be prepared as the base layer to improve the overall transparency of the double-layer composite membrane.The results show that the PA6fibrous membrane has a certain degree of hydrophobicity,and after lamination with GE-HA,the PA6 fibrous membrane can achieve directional water transport,prevent water evaporation and improve the moisturizing effect.When the surface density of PA6 fibrous membrane was 0.1mg/cm~2,the transparency of GE-HA-PA6 bilayer fibrous membrane on skin in wet state could reach 97.02%±1.90%,and the skin moisturizing property could be increased from 15.12%±2.07%to 83.80%±7.05%within 10 min.
