New Professional Truck Driver Clothing Design

As one of the main modes of transportation in China,truck transportation has played an increasingly prominent role in the logistics and transportation industry in recent years,and has made great contributions to the develops of truck drivers,as a relatively large group of employees,have been paid more and more attention by all parties in society.The objective of this project is to design and develop a functional occupational clothing that provides labor protection for truck drivers,reduces the possibility of safety accidentment of the national economy.For a long time,truck drivers have a poor working environment and low social recognition,and once a safety accident occurs,it is easy to cause serious consequences.With the rapid development of the trucking industry,the working environment and labor protection status,improves the comfort of truck drivers,and improves their professional image to increase social recognition,so that this group can receive more social care.This paper provides a preliminary and comprehensive understanding of the overall working status of truck drivers in China through literature research and field research,and on this basis,the tracking and interview of truck drivers through case study method focuses on observing and studying the work of truck drivers from three aspects: working environment,work intensity and daily dress.After many detailed and careful understandings,the four functional needs of safety,temperature control,hygiene and protection and the three spiritual needs of social recognition,professionalism and aesthetics were finally extracted.The design of the three functional modules is completed through interdisciplinary research and comparative research.Design the function of the clothing body from the structure,fabric,color,and accessories;Design electronic function modules in four aspects: light warning,electronic temperature control,sign monitoring,and passive safety;The external module design is made from the two aspects of adjustable loading pocket and convenient rescue focus point.Truck driver professional clothing can provide truck drivers with labor protection and rescue help,comfortable work experience,enhance the sense of honor and professional belonging of the majority of truck drivers,and improve the social image of the truck driver profession.This paper enriches the theoretical research in the field of occupational clothing for labor protection and provides a case study for the research of occupational clothing in the new era.
