The Impact Of Tourism Industry Agglomeration On Tourism Ecological Efficiency

With the rapid development of tourism,the problems of environmental pollution and resource consumption are more serious than before,and the negative impact on the ecological environment has gradually emerged.In this context,the goal and direction of the current tourism development is to solve the problem of ecological environment pollution in the process of tourism development,and effectively improve the tourism ecological efficiency.Tourism ecological efficiency is an important standard to measure the sustainable development of tourism.As a necessary stage of tourism transformation and upgrading,tourism industry agglomeration can effectively promote the sustainable development of tourism.Therefore,it is a great significance to realize the green and sustainable development of tourism in China,which through explore the impact of tourism industry agglomeration on tourism ecological efficiency.Firstly,the concept of tourism industry agglomeration and tourism ecological efficiency is defined.At the same time,the relevant literature is sorted out to find the entry point for the study of the article.Secondly,the location entropy model and the Super-SBM model of undesired output are used to measure the level of tourism industry agglomeration and tourism ecological efficiency,and the measurement results are evaluated by different regions.Thirdly,based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2019,the two way fixed effect model is used to analyze the impact of tourism industry agglomeration on tourism ecological efficiency.Finally,through the perspective of economic development and technological innovation,the panel threshold model is used to explore the nonlinear relationship between tourism industry agglomeration and tourism ecological efficiency.The heterogeneity analysis is carried out in different regions.The conclusions are as follows: Firstly,Tourism industry agglomeration exhibits an overall growth trend,but the regional development is unbalanced.Secondly,Tourism ecological efficiency in general exhibits a trend of first decreasing and then increasing.Thirdly,tourism industry agglomeration can effectively promote tourism ecological efficiency,and this conclusion is still valid after the robustness test.Finally,the influence of tourism industry agglomeration on tourism ecological efficiency has a threshold effect.When using the national panel data as the sample,there is a single threshold effect with the level of economic development and technological innovation as the threshold variables.When the regional panel data is used as the sample,from the division by geographical location,there is a single threshold effect with level of economic development and technological innovation as the threshold variables in the eastern regions.There is no threshold effect in the central and western regions.Divided by resource dependency,only non-resource-based regions have a single threshold effect with the level of technological innovation as the threshold variable.On the basis of the above theoretical analysis and empirical test results,this article puts forward some relevant policy recommendations in order to play a guiding role in the green sustainable development of China’s tourism industry.
