Along with the continuous promotion of Industry 4.0,China’s manufacturing industry is facing a new opportunity and challenge.For the manufacturing industry,it is necessary to improve productivity,reduce production costs and increase revenue in order to be competitive in the market.With the increasing personalization and diversification of consumer needs,the traditional mass production model is difficult to adapt to,so the multi-variety small batch production model is bound to become the core pillar of future manufacturing-oriented enterprises.In this thesis,the production line balance problem is studied mainly in production line C of company B.The traditional industrial engineering method is combined with the simulation Plant-simulation method.Firstly,this thesis introduces the current status of industrial engineering and simulation system research at home and abroad,which lays the foundation for the next work.After that,Take the production status of production line C of Company B as the research object,and the work hours of each process are measured by the work measurement method,the bottleneck stations are identified,and the balance rate of the production line is calculated.Analyze the existing problems of production line C with craft program analysis and process program analysis,optimized the process procedures by using 5W1 H and ECRS methods,optimized the bottleneck stations by using SMED method and two-hand operation analysis method,reallocated the stations by using heuristic algorithm,Use SLP to relocate the workshop of production line C.and then built a model by Plant-simulation simulation to compare and analyze the improved Finally,the improvement effect was evaluated in terms of the utilization rate of the equipment,the speed,and the balance rate of the production line.After the above improvements,the balance rate of production line C of company B was increased from 46.4 to 80.5,equipment utilization increased from 61.7 to 79.8.and the balance rate of production line was greatly improved,which increased the profitability of the company.
