The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China mentioned that the focus of building a modern industrial system should be on the real economy. The real economy is the lifeblood of economic development in the new era.Grasping the direction of real economy development, focusing on the real economy and continuously promoting high-quality development of enterprises has become the focus of the Party Central Committee’s overall planning of current economic work.Requesting assistance in building a new type of pro Qing political business relationship, private enterprises have since achieved party organization embeddings. This article uses theories such as principal-agent theory as the theoretical foundation and case study method as the main research method to systematically review the literature on the relationship between political parties and enterprises, the effectiveness of party organization embeddings, the influencing factors of corporate social responsibility performance, the impact of party organization embeddings on corporate social responsibility performance, changes in corporate performance under party organization embeddings, and the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility performance.Research has found that in the relationship between party organization embeddedness and corporate social responsibility fulfillment, due to the increasing demand for corporate social responsibility and the inability of current regulations to meet social needs, the "political logic" under party organization embeddedness can promote the dialectical unity of corporate "social logic" and "economic logic".In order to promote the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility, party organizations are embedded into enterprises through clear and effective paths. In terms of specific embedding paths and impact effects, this article uses case studies to expand. This article takes Yunnan Copper Industry Co.,Ltd.and Hangxiao Steel Structure Co.,Ltd.as examples for a dual case study. Both belong to metal enterprises with heavy pollution, and there are differences in property rights and regional location.Yunnan Copper Industry is a state-owned enterprise, while Hangxiao Steel Structure is a private enterprise. After two important meetings, the two quickly implemented deep embedding of party organizations.Research has found that its embedding path includes embedding party organizations into the company’s governance structure and leading party building activities.Specifically,it includes "two-way entry, cross appointment"embedding governance structure, party building into the company’s articles of association, and the party committee taking fulfilling social responsibility as the company’s strategy The Party Committee exerts political connections and carries out specific social responsibility fulfillment activities under the leadership of the Party Committee.Under the leadership of the Party organization, the awareness of corporate social responsibility fulfillment has been improved, social responsibility fulfillment behavior has been standardized, and social responsibility fulfillment activities have been popularized. In terms of specific impact effects, this article aims to ensure the uniqueness of the path of the impact of party organization embeddedness on corporate social responsibility performance.Referring to mainstream literature on the influencing factors of corporate social responsibility performance,it controls for company size, equity structure, company profitability, management compensation, etc. After controlling for the impact of changes in other variables on corporate social responsibility, the research results show that:,The embedding of party organizations has promoted the fulfillment of corporate environmental responsibility, promoted the protection of employee rights and social donations, and also promoted the protection of shareholder interests. And after comparing the two companies,it was found that when the embedding method of party organizations is the same and the impact path on corporate social responsibility fulfillment is basically the same, compared to stateowned enterprises, the embedding effect of party organizations on corporate social responsibility fulfillment of private enterprises is more significant. In addition, further expanding the research results found that whether it is state-owned or private enterprises, the embedding of party organizations in promoting corporate social responsibility does not come at the cost of sacrificing corporate performance, and can even promote the improvement of corporate performance to a certain extent. The innovations of this paper are as follows:1.Select a state-owned enterprise and a private enterprise in the same industry to conduct a double case study, which alleviates the selection bias of the case to a certain extent compared with the single case study; In addition to focusing on the impact effect, this article also focuses on studying the impact path and mechanism of party organization embeddedness on corporate social responsibility performance.By controlling other possible influencing factors on corporate social responsibility performance,it is ensured from a case level that changes in corporate social responsibility performance indeed stem from party organization embeddedness rather than other factors, which can also alleviate some of the shortcomings in the case study to some extent.3.After clarifying the impact mechanism and effectiveness of party organization embeddedness on corporate social responsibility performance, starting from dual case companies in the same industry, this study aims to investigate the difference in the impact of party organization embeddedness on state-owned enterprises and private enterprises.Based on the perspective of maximizing enterprise value, this study aims to expand research on changes in corporate social responsibility while also examining changes in corporate performance.I hope that this study can provide reference for optimizing the path of party organizations embedding in enterprises, and provide reference for strategic decisionmaking of state-owned and private enterprises. |
