At present,the country vigorously promotes the EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction)model in the field of Engineering Construction.There are many difficulties in the process.The most important problem is that many companies in the engineering field have low profits or even losses in projects that adopt EPC management mode.EPC has the characteristics of long construction cycle and large investment amount,and the financial situation of the project itself will have a non-negligible impact on the company.Therefore,a comprehensive financial risk analysis of EPC projects can strengthen the project’s ability to cope with and manage financial risks,which plays a very important role in the long-term sustainable and steady development of the company.In the past,the financial risk of a company is measured by single index or comprehensive index.EPC projects have the characteristics of engineering projects,and EPC projects often occupy a large proportion in the company’s business,so the financial risk needs to be analyzed separately.This paper tries to refer to the fault tree analysis method commonly used in the field of security,and analyzes the events and importance of EPC financial risks from the results backward,so as to put forward measures to prevent and control the risks of EPC projects.Taking the sewage treatment EPC general contracting project of a new environmental protection company as an example,the basic steps of fault tree analysis are followed.Firstly,through literature review and financial data analysis,the basic overview of project financial risk is identified.Secondly,the Delphi method is used to preliminarily identify the financial risks that may be included in the project and draw up a preliminary list of financial risks.Thirdly,the fault tree model is constructed to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the impact of risk events on the project,so as to provide ideas for the countermeasures of financial risk management and control.Finally,from the perspective of S Company,specific improvement and optimization measures are proposed for the main factors affecting the financial risk of the project,and the ideas of strengthening the project control are elaborated from the aspects of revenue and cost.The research results of this paper can provide certain optimization measures for S company to reduce the financial risk of EPC projects,and also have certain reference value for the financial risk management of EPC projects of other similar companies.
