Research On The Strategy Of Quanzhou Government To Promote The Green Travel Of Citizens

In recent years,the social and economic development has made people’s living standards higher,and more people choose motorized travel.However,many problems have occurred,such as traffic congestion and air pollutionwhich which have a negative impact on the construction of ecological civilization.Urban transportation is closely related to economic development and production.Advocating green travel has become a major measure in many cities to manage transportation problems.As one of the central cities in the economic zone,Quanzhou has been ranked in the forefront of the province in terms of GDP for a long time.However,the urban traffic in Quanzhou does not match social development,so we must promote the green travel.Therefore,this study selects the green travel behavior of Quanzhou citizens as the research object,and conducts research on the government’s strategy to promote citizens’ green travel.On the basis of reading relevant literature,this study combines the theory of public goods,new public services and other related public management theories.At the same time summarizes the relevant strategies that the Quanzhou Municipal Government has adopted to promote green travel for citizens.Quanzhou’s strategy of promoting green travel for citizens has problems such as unreasonable traffic structure,insufficient infrastructure carrying capacity,the preferential measures and restraint means are lack of innovation.Aiming at the problems of the strategy of promoting green travel by the Quanzhou Municipal Government,the study selects the practices of promoting green travel for citizens in domestic and foreign cities,and summarizes the successful experience of the local government in terms of policy,implementation,supervision and guarantee.Based on the experience and advantages that the city can learn from,it puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions of the Quanzhou Municipal Government to promote the green travel of citizens from three aspects: overall planning,facility construction,and policy guarantee.
