Light-weight porous materials have the characteristics of high specific strength and high specific stiffness,and play an extensive application value in engineering practice.With the implementation of National Carbon Peak and carbon neutral policy,the demand for lightweight porous materials in furniture field is increasing.Cork is a kind of natural porous layered framework material with excellent properties such as light weight,good heat insulation,shock absorption and sound absorption,to realize the development of new lightweight porous materials is of great research value and significance for promoting low-carbon production and reducing raw material consumption.In this paper,the soft wood micro-structure is taken as the object of structural bionic research,and the light porous bionic structure is designed,the bionic light-weight porous sandwich panels with excellent mechanical properties were fabricated by 3D printing technology.The main research contents of the paper are as follows:(1)Cork is made up of honeycomb-like layer-like cytoskeleton.The hollow cork cells and layer-like cytoskeleton are the main factors that make Cork porous and light.According to the structural characteristics of Cork layer-like cytoskeleton,using the theory of structural bionics similarity,the micro-structure of Cork was designed bionics,and the CK-1,CK-2 Bionic light porous structure model and CK-3 control group structure model were constructed by CREO three-dimensional modeling software.(2)The mechanical properties of three bionic structures are simulated by ANSYS Workbench,and the equivalent strain diagram and the equivalent stress diagram are obtained,the values of specific stiffness and specific strength of three bionic structures are compared.The results show that the compressive strength and flexural strength of the CK-2 structure are better than those of the CK-1 structure.The compressive strength and specific strength of the CK-2 structure are increased by 12.7%and 8.8%,respectively,compared with those of the CK-1 structure,compared with CK-1 structure,the flexural strength and specific strength of CK-2 structure are increased by 13.8%and 9.8%,respectively,compared with CK-3,the porous layer structure of CK-2 has lighter structure weight and material utilization increased by 72.6%.(3)Three kinds of bionic structures were fabricated by 3D printing technology,and the mechanical properties of bionic structures were tested.The results show that the fitting degree between the experimental results and the simulation results is very high,which proves the reliability and validity of the finite element analysis results.(4)By optimizing and improving the bionic structure of CK-2,a new type of bionic light-weight porous sandwich panel was successfully prepared by 3D printing technology.The mechanical properties of the sandwich panel are better than those of the traditional honeycomb paper sandwich panel and wood honeycomb composite panel,it is proved that the bionic lightweight porous sandwich panel is feasible in the field of furniture sandwich panel.
