Leather Office Chair Backrest External Connector Design

As one of the important types of office furniture,leather office chairs have attracted much attention from consumers.With the rise of online shopping mode and the continuous improvement of consumers’ aesthetic level,consumers have a more diversified demand for leather office chairs.Through preliminary research,it is known that the backrest external connector of leather office chair is an important factor affecting the appearance shape,packaging volume and difficulty of disassembly and assembly of leather office chair.In this paper,three different types of leather office chair backrest external connectors are designed,so that the leather office chair has more appearance shape,reduces the packaging volume of the leather office chair and makes it easy to disassemble and assemble,so as to meet the needs of consumers for leather office chairs to a certain extent.The main research content of this paper is as follows:First,the current situation of leather office chairs and their backrest connectors is investigated.The representative leather office chairs with high monthly sales were summarized,and the types of leather office chairs with backrest external connections were obtained,which were regarded as important research objects.Through the method of online questionnaire distribution and offline field interviews,consumers were investigated to obtain consumers’ real views on the external connectors of leather office chair backrests,explore the problems existing in the process of transportation and installation of leather office chairs,and provide real data and realistic basis for the analysis and design of external connections of leather office chair backs.Second,the analysis of the existing leather office chair back connectors in the market.Compared with the built-in connection of the backrest,the external connection of the backrest has three advantages:diversified shape,easy transport function and easy to disassemble and assemble structure.According to the different forms of external connections of the backrest of the leather office chair,the external connections of the backrest are divided into two types:only connecting the backrest and the seat and connecting the backrest and the seat surface and acting as armrests,and the representative cases of each type are analyzed in detail,and the design pain points of the current leather office chair backrest external connectors are summarized,and the corresponding design requirements are put forward.Third,put forward design plans and analyze and evaluate.The leather office chair with built-in backrest connector was selected as the design reference of the top sales in the three survey results,and the corresponding backrest external connector was designed for each leather office chair.After obtaining the three design schemes,the scheme is applied to the leather office chair,and the three design schemes are analyzed and evaluated from the four aspects of leather office chair appearance analysis,packaging volume analysis,disassembly difficulty analysis and connection finite element analysis,and the feasibility of the scheme is verified.A model was created using 3D printing technology to show the appearance of the external connection of the backrest in detail and show its easy-to-disassemble structure.This paper enriches the research in the field of external connectors of leather office chair backrest,and the proposed design scheme can meet the needs of consumers for leather office chairs in terms of appearance,packaging volume and disassembly to a certain extent,and provides a certain reference for the design and manufacture of external connections of leather office chair backrests in the future.
