Research On Value Creation Of Green Governance In Thermal Power Enterprise

Since reform and opening up,the rapid development of our economy,the power generation enterprises play a very important role in the development of our country,also provided the strong protection for our electricity.However,while thermal power generation drives economic growth,it also causes irreversible damage and pollution to resources and environment.In the concept of sustainable development in our country,thermal power enterprises take saving resources and protecting environment as the enterprise development core.To realize the green development of enterprises as a foothold;Green governance has become the fundamental way of sustainable development for enterprises.With the concept of double carbon,green low carbon concept of increasingly popular strengthening,our heavy pollution enterprises green governance has become the focus of social attention.Green governance is currently the focus of research around the world,which requires enterprises to obtain economic benefits in the process of production and operation,but also take into account the protection of the green environment,and actively fulfill corporate social responsibilities.This paper takes Huaneng International,a representative thermal power generation enterprise,as a case study.Through case analysis,this paper studies the green governance model of Huaneng International under the guidance of the externality theory,sustainable development theory,resource-based theory and other basic theories,lists the current situation of its green governance in detail,and combines the actual green governance behavior of Huaneng International.This paper studies the path and mechanism of value creation brought by Huaneng International green governance,and finally analyzes the value creation effect brought by green governance through three levels of environmental layer,social layer and financial layer.This paper finds that: first,Huaneng International creates value through green governance at three levels,including the financial level,the environmental level and the social level;The subjects of value creation include government,enterprises themselves and social organizations and the public,among which enterprises are the most important subjects of green governance.Huaneng International green governance value creation needs to arrange resources,such as enterprise capital allocation,project investment,etc.Secondly,the value creation results brought by Huaneng International’s green governance mainly include the following: reduction of pollutant emissions,energy consumption and violation costs of enterprises at the environmental level;At the financial level,the profitability of enterprises is improved,the growth ability is stronger,and the environmental protection subsidies are increased.At the social level,the number of patents applied by enterprises has increased significantly,the donation expenditure has increased,and the ESG rating of enterprises has been upgraded.By studying the value creation of thermal power enterprises brought by green governance,this paper is helpful to guide high-polluting enterprises to take relevant green measures in the process of operation and development to improve corporate governance performance,obtain more value creation,and improve the relevant research on the value creation of enterprises by green governance.
