Research On The Application Of Furniture Design Based On The Extraction And Translation Of Shanghai School Painting Elements

Through the interpretation of policies and the analysis of semiotics related literature,the possibility of transliteration of Shanghai elements is preliminarily understood,and then the research purpose of this topic is determined after analyzing mature design cases,that is,to explore the feasibility of interdisciplinary cultural inheritance and application by completing the extraction and translation of Shanghai painting elements and applying them in furniture design.Firstly,the AHP analytic hierarchy method and mental model are used to understand the user’s preference for furniture design and the user’s concern for the integration of Shanghai painting elements into furniture design,so as to obtain the user demand preference model.Secondly,the semiotic theory is used to complete the extraction and translation process of Shanghai School painting elements,deconstruct the elements of painting works,and build a library of symbol factors of painting elements taking Wu Changshuo’s works as an example.Then,the scenario construction theory is used to build a home scene oriented to user needs,and specific design strategies are derived for furniture design practice.Taking Wu Changshuo’s Shanghai School paintings as the research object,the project uses design methods such as AHP analytic hierarchy,mental model,semiotic theory and situation construction theory to produce element translation design strategies,and designs a series of furniture,providing a broader and multi-angle design idea for the inheritance of Shanghai School painting.At the same time,product design for Shanghai culture from a new perspective is also to provide more solutions for design reengineering and innovation,increase the market competitive advantage of original modern furniture,and attract young consumers.
