| Land is the carrier of human activities, and changes in land use types caused by human life and production activities can affect carbon emissions.Economic development relies on resources such as land and energy, and an unreasonable economic development model can cause a significant increase in carbon emissions.Ningxia is currently in a phase of rapid economic development, with a continuously expanding demand for land and energy, which highlights the contradiction between economic growth and energy conservation and carbon reduction.Scientifically analyzing the changes in carbon emissions caused by land use, clarifying the decoupling relationship between land use carbon emissions and economic growth, and exploring the factors influencing land use carbon emissions and decoupling are of great significance for Ningxia to develop a low-carbon economy and achieve the "dual-carbon" goal.Based on the analysis of changes in land use types in Ningxia from 2000 to 2021,this paper calculates the total carbon emissions, carbon absorption, and net carbon emissions of land use in Ningxia and its cities. The decoupling model is applied to analyze the decoupling relationship between land use carbon emissions and economic growth in Ningxia and its cities from 2000 to 2021.The LMDI decomposition model is used to explore the factors affecting land use carbon emissions and decoupling. Finally, targeted policy suggestions are provided based on the research results. The findings are as follows:(1)The land use types in Ningxia from 2000 to 2021 are mainly grassland and arable land, and the trends and magnitude of changes in the area of different land use types vary across the region and in each city. The area of forest land, water and construction land increases, the area of grassland and other land decreases, the area of arable land decreases and then increases, and the area of garden land increases and then decreases, among which the area of forest land changes most drastically and increases significantly, while the area of arable land changes most stably and the changes are not significant. In terms of regions,Yinchuan City has the most drastic changes in the area of parkland,Shizuishan City has the most drastic changes in the area of construction land, and the most drastic land use types in Wuzhong,Guyuan and Zhongwei are all forest land.(2)From 2000 to 2021,the region’s total land use carbon emissions increased year by year, from 6.9896 million tons to 118.3624 million tons;the total land use carbon absorption also showed an increasing trend year by year, from 284,000 tons to 737,400 tons. The total amount of carbon absorption is much smaller than the total amount of carbon emissions, and the carbon sink effect is not significant, which cannot offset the generated carbon emissions.Construction land is the main carbon source land, and forest land is the main carbon sink land. The area with the most carbon emissions is Yinchuan City, while the area with the least carbon emissions and the largest carbon absorption is Guyuan City, and the area with the least carbon absorption is Shizuishan City.(3)During the study period, the state of decoupling in Ningxia showed a trend of expansionary negative decoupling→weak decoupling→expandable negative decoupling→weak decoupling. There were differences in the changing trends of decoupling states in different cities, but the decoupling states were all unstable. The gap between the rate of change of carbon emissions and the rate of change of economic growth in Ningxia is converging, indicating that the development trend of low-carbon economy is improving.(4)The decomposition results of land use carbon emissions influencing factors show that during the study period, land use carbon emission intensity, land use structure, economic development level and population size have a promoting effect on land use carbon emissions, and the economic development level plays a major role in promoting land use carbon emissions;the land use per unit of GDP Intensity has a dampening effect.(5)The decomposition results of decoupling influencing factors show that during the study period, economic development level and population size hindered decoupling, and economic level underdevelopment was the most important influencing factor;land use carbon emission intensity and land use structure mainly played a hindering role, and the performance of individual years It is a promotion effect;the land use intensity per unit of GDP shows a promotion effect in 2000-2011,and turns into a hindrance effect in 2012-2021.Based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward policy suggestions for rationally adjusting land layout, adjusting energy structure, promoting high-quality economic development, advocating lowcarbon life, and strengthening government responsibility. |
