Research On Carbon Information Disclosure Quality Of Conch Cement Company Based On TCFD

In recent years,with the increase of many ecological problems such as the expansion of desert,rising sea level and increasing insect pests,climate issues have become a focus of global concern,and countries have issued policy documents to advocate enterprises to take the path of green,low-carbon and sustainable development.In this context,carbon information has gradually become an important information that enterprises must pay attention to,investors and relevant regulatory authorities.The quality of carbon information disclosure has also become an important factor affecting the speed of carbon peak and carbon neutralization progress.As the world’s second largest economy,China’s "double-carbon" goal reflects a spirit of responsibility as a major country.Low carbon environmental protection has become an important issue in the national "difference" planning,building materials industry is highlighted in the national "difference" planning,conch cement as a leading enterprise in the building materials industry,so this paper selects conch cement as the research object,based on TCFD four elements analysis of the carbon information disclosure quality,this for the goal of "double carbon" has the extremely far-reaching practical significance.This paper selects conch cement as a case enterprise,using the case analysis,literature research and comparative analysis,the stakeholder theory and information asymmetry theory as the theoretical basis,combined with the quality of carbon information disclosure research,from the disclosure and disclosure content two latitude comb induction conch cement2017-2021 disclosure of carbon information content,then based on the TCFF four elements in-depth analysis of the quality of carbon information disclosure in recent five years.In this study,referring to TCFD framework and the Rating Standard for Climate-related Financial Information Reporting released by Runling Global,we selected significance,quantification and timing as the latitude of quality evaluation,and constructed a carbon information quality evaluation system composed of 4 first-level indicators and 16 second-level indicators.Through the comparative analysis and quality evaluation analysis based on the four elements of TCFD,it is found that the carbon information disclosed by Conch Cement mainly focuses on the governance elements,indicators and target elements,but lacks the disclosure of carbon information on the strategic elements and risk management elements.At the same time,the quality evaluation score of conch cement is also far lower than that of China National Building Material Company,which follows the TCFD framework for carbon information disclosure.At the end of this paper,some countermeasures to improve the quality of carbon information disclosure from the enterprise level and the national level.At the enterprise level,this study suggests that Conch Cement should improve the form of enterprise carbon information disclosure,increase the professional knowledge of carbon accounting for accounting personnel,strengthen the disclosure of enterprise governance,and strengthen enterprise risk management;at the national level,this study suggests that the country should build a unified carbon information disclosure framework and strengthen the supervision of carbon information disclosure.
