Study On The Ecological Environment Effect Of Rural Industrial Integration In The Yangtze River Economic Belt

The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that we should comprehensively promote rural revitalization,accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural country,and solidly promote the revitalization of rural industries,talents,culture,ecology and organizations.Industrial revitalization is the core of rural revitalization.Industrial prosperity is the economic basis for realizing strong agriculture,beautiful countryside and rich farmers.Rural industrial integration is an inevitable way to realize industrial prosperity.However,the diversified development of rural economy has also had a certain impact on the rural ecological environment to a certain extent.Local grassroots cadres blindly pursue economic growth,ignore the damage caused by rural economic development to the ecological environment,destroy the stability of the rural ecosystem,and the pollution of life and production environment is severe.With the development of economy and society and the improvement of people ’s living standards,the demand of urban and rural residents for ecological environment and the quality of agricultural products is also increasing.The role of agriculture and rural areas as important carriers of economic and ecological resources has become increasingly important.A good ecological environment is an important foundation for the sustainable development of rural economy,which determines the quality of life and interests of farmers.Therefore,in the process of rural industrial integration and development,it is particularly important to respect the laws of nature,use resources scientifically and rationally for diversified production,take a road of ecology and industry,protection and development,transform ecological resources into economic resources,and promote rural development and rural revitalization of industrial integration and development.As an important inland economic belt and rural population gathering area in China,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has made remarkable progress in agricultural production.However,there are still some problems in the region,including low added value of agricultural products,low overall efficiency of agriculture,especially the lack of diversity of rural development in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,the lack of coordinated development of agriculture and other industries,and farmers ’ weak awareness of ecological and environmental protection,resulting in low economic benefits of rural industries and destruction of the ecological environment.The positive interaction between rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is conducive to promoting the prosperity of rural industries,improving the quality of rural environment,and realizing the green development of agriculture and rural areas.Firstly,this paper summarizes the relevant research at home and abroad,and explains the influence mechanism of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment according to relevant theories and research systems.Secondly,the development status of rural industrial integration development and rural ecological environment in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is analyzed.The entropy weight method is used to measure the level of rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment in 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2020.The kernel density function is used to analyze the regional dynamic evolution characteristics of rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment.Then it studies the mechanism of rural industrial integration and different modes affecting rural ecological environment,and then studies the mediating effect of rural economic growth on the impact of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment,and the moderating effect of human capital and urbanization on the impact of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment gap.This paper further studies the threshold effect of human capital,urbanization and rural economic growth in rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment;finally,the research is summarized and policy implications are given.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)The overall development level of rural industrial integration in 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows a steady growth trend.The development level of rural ecological environment is slightly decreasing except Shanghai and Sichuan Province.Guizhou Province is hovering around 0.22,and the remaining 8 provinces and cities are in a slow growth trend.The gap between the provinces and cities in the overall development level of rural industrial integration in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is gradually increasing,while the gap between the provinces and cities in the overall development level of rural ecological environment is gradually decreasing.(2)Rural industrial integration can significantly improve the rural ecological environment.Through the provincial panel data of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2020,the two-way fixed effect,tail reduction treatment and instrumental variable method(IV-2SLS)are used for empirical test.The results show that the overall rural industrial integration and different models are conducive to improving the rural ecological environment..(3)There are three influencing mechanisms of human capital,urbanization and rural economic growth in the relationship between rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment.The test results show that human capital positively regulates the relationship between rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment,urbanization negatively regulates the relationship between rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment,and rural economic growth plays a partial mediating effect in the improvement of rural ecological environment by rural industrial integration.(4)There is a threshold effect between rural industrial integration and rural ecological environment.Taking human capital,urbanization and rural economic growth as threshold variables,there are obvious threshold effects and all of them are single threshold models.Under the influence of human capital,the positive impact of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment tends to weaken.Under the influence of urbanization,the positive impact of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment turns to negative.Under the influence of rural economic growth,the positive impact of rural industrial integration on rural ecological environment tends to increase.
