| Among the existing foam materials,only polymer foam materials can be applied to foam materials for interior decoration,but polymer foam materials often have safety hazards when used,such as poor fire resistance and other issues.The main gas pollution of China’s indoor environment is the toxic and harmful gases such as formaldehyde and benzene released by wood-based materials such as wood-based panels and paints,which are difficult to completely remove,causing a huge impact on the health of residents,and need a new material that can be used for interior decoration and purification of indoor air urgently.Therefore,this study intends to use bamboo charcoal,a renewable,fast regenerated material with rich and irregular pore and a plenty of raw materials to prepare environmentally friendly,fire retardant,lightweight,foam material with adsorption function by using water glass as an adhesive and foaming agent and study its properties,and the main research results are as follows:First,composite foam materials were prepared by bamboo charcoal and sodium water glass and their properties were studied.Results showed that when the particle size of bamboo charcoal was 50 mesh and the mass ratio of bamboo charcoal/sodium water glass(Na2O·nSiO2)was 10:5,a foam material with uniform bubbles could be obtained.The foam material has a density of 0.55-0.60 g/cm3,with a bending strength and compressive strength of about 5 MPa.A new infrared absorption peak appeared at 458 cm-1,880 cm-1and 1069 cm-1 of the foam material,indicating that the Si-O-Si structure produced by the curing of water glass provides mechanical strength for the foam material.Second,the results showed that the addition of lithium water glass improved the flexural strength and compressive strength of the foamed material after aging,when the mass ratio of sodium silicate/lithium silicate was 8:2,which was 5.5 MPa and 6 MPa,respectively,and the density of the foam material was further reduced to 0.40-0.45 g/cm3,at 458 cm-1,784 cm-1,1066cm-1,while increasing the mechanical strength The infrared characteristic peak of the Si-O-Si bond continues to appear at cm-1,indicating that the addition of lithium water glass does not change the curing product of water glass.The modification of lithium silicate can increase the strength of the foam material and reduce its density.Third,the results showed that the addition of EGD reduces the flexural strength of the foam material to 4.5 MPa,the compressive strength remains at 6 MPa,and the density of the obtained foam material is about 0.45 g/cm3,but the addition of EGD allows the foam material to skip the preheating process and directly heat curing,so that the curing time is reduced from the original 3h to 1.5 h,The foam material has a LOI of 35%,and the sample cannot be ignited during the conical calorimetry test,showing good flame retardant properties. |
