Green Technology Innovation、public Pressure And Enterprise Environmental Performance

Under the background of low carbon development,China has comprehensively implemented cleaner production by reducing pollution and reducing carbon,so as to promote the comprehensive transformation of economic society to green development.In order to achieve the above goals,actively developing green technology innovation is a wise move for enterprises to solve environmental pollution problems and achieve coordinated development of economy and environment.Will enterprise environmental performance be affected by green technological innovation ? At the same time,the research on the relationship between green technology innovation and enterprise environmental performance mainly focuses on the impact of a series of government measures on the relationship between the two,and less considers the impact of pressure exerted by other stakeholders on the relationship between the two.However,the survival and development of enterprises are closely related to shareholders,creditors and other stakeholders.The pressure on enterprises may also affect the level of environmental performance of enterprises.Moreover,the existing literature mostly explores the impact of single public pressure on enterprise green technology innovation,without considering the public pressure as a whole.The synthesis of a comprehensive index of public pressure helps to more comprehensively reflect the impact of public pressure on enterprise environmental performance.Therefore,what is the effect of green technology innovation on enterprise environmental performance ? Does public pressure improve enterprise environmental performance ? What is the impact on the relationship between green technology innovation and enterprise environmental performance ? These are issues that need to be focused at present.Therefore,based on the theories of stakeholders and sustainable development,this thesis makes a thorough analysis of the relationship between green technology innovation,public pressure and enterprise environmental performance,and the moderating mechanism of public pressure between green technology innovation and enterprise environmental performance.In the meantime,this thesis uses the data of A-share listed firms from 2014 to2019 to structure a multivariate regression model.Through multiple regression test methods,the relationship between green technology innovation and environmentalperformance of enterprise and the moderating variable of public pressure are tested from an empirical angle.In addition,this thesis also introduces the concept of financial performance variable and carbon emission difference to deeply analyze the impact of public pressure on green technology innovation and enterprise environmental performance.The empirical results show that :(1)Green technology innovation has a significant positive correlation with enterprise environmental performance.(2)Public pressure has a significantly positive correlation with enterprise environmental performance.In other conditions unchanged,the greater the public pressure faced by enterprises,the higher the level of environmental performance.(3)Public pressure has a positive regulatory effect on green technology innovation and enterprise environmental performance,among which the influence of government pressure is more significant;(4)Good environmental performance of enterprises can promote the improvement of financial performance;(5)The moderating effects of public pressure on industries with different carbon emissions are also different.
