In the context of the deepening trend of population aging,the design of age-friendly furniture can help improve the quality of life of the elderly.However,as China’s elderly furniture industry is still in the early stage of development,there is a lack of systematic research and development support,and it is difficult to pay attention to the physiological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly effectively,which leads to the "unfit for the elderly" furniture in the domestic market,with many problems such as lack of function,unreasonable structure and size,and unattractive appearance.To address the above problems,the article analyzes the current situation of the elderly furniture market,physical and technical conflicts of elderly furniture,human-computer interaction,and proposes design strategies and solutions to optimize the design of elderly furniture,aiming to make elderly furniture better meet the needs of the elderly.Firstly,we use TRIZ theory,KANO theory,product imagery and other methods to carry out the five stages of market research,demand acquisition,technical conflict,modeling imagery and design practice.The KANO model is used to analyze and process the user requirements,and the valuable user requirements are ranked in order of importance to establish the preliminary design indexes of the elderly-friendly furniture.Secondly,the TRIZ theory is used to transform the design requirements of the elderly furniture into 39 general engineering parameters of the TRIZ theory,to obtain the optimization parameters and deterioration parameters in the design process of the elderly furniture,to compare with the TRIZ technical contradiction matrix,and to derive the innovative design principles applied to the elderly furniture,so as to solve the technical problems of the elderly furniture.Again,after applying the physical analysis method in TRIZ theory to describe the physical conflicts of man-machine,size and function of the elderly-friendly furniture,the physical problems of the elderly-friendly furniture are solved by four separation principles.The problem solving method of TRIZ theory is used to solve the design conflicts in the process of shaping furniture,and the perceptual imagery conflict resolution model is constructed.Finally,the fuzzy evaluation method is used to calculate the optimal design solution,and the sketch solution that best meets the design index is selected to optimize the design,and Rhino modeling software and Ketshot rendering software are used to complete the innovative design of age-friendly furniture.Relying on the advantages of TRIZ theory,the article proposes a TRIZ-based innovation model for elderly-friendly furniture,screens the invention principles under the technical conflicts and physical conflicts of elderly-friendly furniture,constructs a conflict matrix of elderly-friendly furniture innovation,creates a complete elderly-friendly furniture research system,and builds a framework of elderly-friendly furniture innovation system consisting of technical functions,structures and shapes.The technical conflicts,physical conflicts and perceptual imagery conflicts of elderly-friendly furniture are summarized,and the method of applying the conflict matrix of elderly-friendly furniture to filter the innovative solutions of the invention principles in the conflict matrix is summarized,which provides new ideas to solve the conflict problems for the design of elderly-friendly furniture and opens up a new direction for the development of elderly-friendly furniture.
