As China’s economy continues to implement the strategy of "going out" and "bringing in",while the global economy is hit by the epidemic,China has always adhered to the concept of further opening up and continuously optimized the business environment.China’s actual use of foreign capital is on the rise.China has become the largest contributor to global FDI in2020.However,the sustained economic growth brought about by the continuous expansion of the introduction of foreign capital has made the environmental problems faced by our country seriously aggravated. With the intensification of global warming, the focus of global economic development has gradually shifted to a low-carbon economy, while China is still in the stage of rapid economic development, resulting in rising energy demand and consumption, which is undoubtedly an extremely severe challenge. Therefore, how to actively exert the positive effect of two-way FDI and balance the relationship between environmental protection and economic development has become an urgent problem to be solved in my country. This article first sorts out the relevant research literature on the relationship between the coordinated development of two-way FDI,carbon emissions and economic growth;then theoretically elaborates two-way FDI and carbon emissions,two-way FDI and economic growth, and the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth. Then, according to the selected sample data of 30 provinces in my country from 2005 to 2019,the coordinated development level and carbon emissions of my country’s two-way FDI are calculated;finally, the STIRPAT model is used to analyze the coordinated development and carbon emissions of my country’s two-way FDI.The relationship between emissions, the establishment of a simultaneous equation model to analyze the relationship between the coordinated development of two-way FDI and economic growth, and the construction of a panel vector autoregressive model to demonstrate the dynamic correlation between the coordinated development of two-way FDI,carbon emissions and economic growth test.Based on the STIRPAT model in the empirical study, the interaction item of the coordinated development of two-way FDI and environmental regulation was added to analyze the effect of the interaction item.At the same time,my country was divided into four regions: east, middle, west, and northeast,to explore the regional heterogeneity of the relationship between coordinated development of two-way FDI,carbon emissions and economic growth.According to the empirical research results, the main conclusions of this thesis are drawn. There is a one-way relationship between the coordinated development of two-way FDI and carbon emissions, that is,the coordinated development of two-way FDI has a short-term negative impact on carbon emissions and a long-term significant positive impact, but carbon emissions will not have a significant impact on the coordinated development of two-way FDI.There is an asymmetric two-way promotion relationship between the coordinated development of two-way FDI and economic growth, that is,economic growth has a long-term positive impact on the coordinated development of two-way FDI,and this impact is lagging behind. In turn, the coordinated development of two-way FDI has no significant impact on economic growth in the short term, but has a long-term positive impact. There are also different two-way influence relationships between carbon emissions and economic growth.Carbon emissions have a short-term negative impact on economic growth, while economic growth has a short-term positive impact on carbon emissions and a long-term negative impact. At the same time, there are regional differences in the relationship between the coordinated development of two-way FDI,carbon emissions and economic growth.Based on the above conclusions, this thesis puts forward the following reference suggestions for the development of my country’s low-carbon economy.Improve the quality of two-way FDI,rationally adjust the trade structure, and speed up the development of low-carbon trade.Strengthen scientific and technological innovation capabilities, promote low-carbon energy transformation, and adhere to green and low-carbon development.Optimize the industrial space layout to meet the needs of industrial transformation and upgrading.Formulate environmental regulation policies according to local conditions and precision.
