Analysis On The Causes,Strategies And Economic Consequences Of Green Mergers And Acquisitions Of Company A

In recent years,under the incentive of energy conservation and environmental protection,together with that of merger and reorganization policies,the green M&A market has been hot.As one of the most effective ways to allocate green resources in the capital market,green M&A has become an important way for listed companies to achieve green transformation.However,case studies on green M&A are not abundantly available.This paper aims to enrich the green M&A cases and further expand the green performance evaluation by analyzing causes,strategies and economic consequences of green M&A of company A,a representative enterprise in the environmental protection industry.This paper firstly uses the literature research method to sort out relevant domestic and foreign literature,defines the concept of green M&A,models and strategies,green performance,and analyzes green development and high-quality development theory,corporate social responsibility theory,synergy theory and triple bottom line theory.Then,it uses a combination of case analysis,comparative analysis and event research method,starting from the revealing of company A’s M&A motivations,strategies,and the process.The economic consequences of M&A events are evaluated based on 3 dimensions: green,finance and market performance.As a result,the implementation effect of green M&A is assessed.Finally,the full text is summarized and the shortcomings and enlightenment of this case are analyzed.Through analysis,this paper finds that this green M&A event has improved the green development capability of the main and merging party A,and providing opportunities for its green transformation.Reasonable formulation and proper adjustment of corporate green M&A strategies are helpful for the promotion and successful implementation of green M&A events.The green M&A will help Company A to further undertake social responsibilities,thereby enhancing the corporate social image.
