The Dai ancestors appeared as ethnic entities in Yunnan during the Qin and Han dynasties,mainly in the middle of Yunnan Province and the southwest of Yunnan.The Red River River basin is also one of the most concentrated dai areas in Yunnan province.The most representative dai costume in this area is that of the Honghe Dai people.For the Dai people of Red River,who have no written language of their own,their unique ethnic costumes have become an important carrier of their cultural heritage.Based on the historical research method,field investigation method,case study and comprehensive research of design science,combined with the related theory of Anthropology of art,this paper takes the Dai ethnic group clothing in Red River as the research object,the following studies have been carried out:(1)by means of literature analysis and historical research,the paper traces back to the source of the Dai ethnic group in Red River and defines the object of study,and defines the Dai ethnic group in Red River as the branch of the Dai ethnic group and the Dai ethnic group in Dai people;(2)based on the clothing collected during field trips,the clothing items of the Dai ethnic group in Red River preserved today are analyzed in detail in terms of the types of clothing items,patterns,decorative colors and production techniques;(3)to construct a comparative analysis of dai costumes in Red River basin by comparing the clothing art differences between Dai and Dai people,and by exploring the creation characteristics and cultural connotation of dai costumes in Red River;4.Based on the fashion trend of 2022,the paper extracted the style of Dai dress and daily dress in Red River,and carried out the new dress design practice of dai dress in Red River under the modern context based on the Dai Flower Street match dress culture festival in Red River.The aim of this paper is to make a detailed study of the clothing culture of the Dai ethnic group and the minority ethnic group in Red River,based on the protection of the authenticity of the traditional ethnic costume culture,the preservation and dissemination of the ethnic costume culture are damaged by the mechanized manufacturing,the construction of the market economy and the decline of the sense of human civilization,the main research points of this paper are as follows: first,through the investigation and study of the clothing of the Dai ethnic group of each branch in the Red River River basin,the similarities and differences of the clothing of each branch are summarized,the comparative analysis is carried out,and the reasons for the differences are summarized,under the influence of these differences,a knowledge framework for the study of Dai costume culture in the Red River River basin is constructed to deepen the overall understanding of Dai costume in the Red River River basin,comparing the results of the field investigation with the extant objects and previous documents,and combining the interview records of non-hereditary inheritors and the living elderly of flower-waist Dai people embroidery,to explore the origin and modern inheritance of the Dai costume culture in Red River,based on the festival culture of the Flower Street Festival of the Dai ethnic group in Red River and the questionnaire survey results of the DAI ethnic group in contemporary Red River on their knowledge of the elements of their ethnic dress and personal preference,and combining their traditional handicraft design practice,in order to achieve the authenticity of the traditional handicraft protection and innovation.This paper finds out that the dress art of the Dai ethnic group in Red River plays different roles in its ethnic society.It is not only limited to the practical function of handicrafts,but also a ethnic symbol with rich cultural connotations.It records the history of the Dai people in Red River,and reflects the relationship between the wearers and nature and society,elaborated the ancestor people regarding all things have the spirit worship,has condensed the ancestor people’s wisdom and the philosophy.Based on the above analysis,the dress art of Dai people in Red River has become their inheritance of tradition and the expression of their identity,which is an extension of sense and consciousness. |
