BIM technology has been introduced into China’s construction industry for more than ten years.With the introduction and release of related policies and standards,BIM technology is being applied by more and more enterprises and individuals.At present,most design units generally use Auto CAD to draw architectural drawings.Because of the hard restrictions of two-dimensional planar operation,CAD has poor visualization in the architectural design effect,and poor collaboration among various specialties in architectural design results in low drawing efficiency.In the design of buildings,the variety of equipment types and the number of layout can easily lead to the wrong layout and missing of equipment.For example,for the layout of fire detectors in planar design,a single layout and a large number of layout will affect the drawing efficiency and accuracy.Therefore,this paper presents a BIM-based automatic layout method for indoor space fire detector,which can visualize the automatic layout and wiring in the room of fire detector,and extract the related layout result data.The relevant research work of this study is as follows:(1)The interior space extraction of building models based on three-dimensional convex hull increment algorithm and three-dimensional Boolean operation is proposed.The minimum convex polyhedron is extracted from the building model to get the three-dimensional convex hull of the building model.On the basis of the three-dimensional convex hull of the building model,the internal space of the building model is extracted by Boolean operation between the three-dimensional convex hull and the building model,and visually expressed by the bounding box.(2)The identification of indoor spatial functions based on IFC semantic information of building models is proposed.According to the building model IFC file,the related data information of building internal components is extracted,the component database is created,the coordinates of building components are extracted according to the IFC semantic information,and compared with the coordinates of the model internal space bounding box,so as to judge the room function according to the type of components contained in the room bounding box.(3)Propose the automatic layout and wiring method of indoor space fire detector in building model.According to the relevant fire control specifications,the number of fire detectors installed in the room and the installation spacing are calculated,and the uniform function is defined to achieve the optimal layout of multiple detectors in the room.Based on the locations of fire detectors laid out in the plane and the constraints of Steiner tree and related functions,the optimal way of automatic wiring of fire detectors is obtained.Visualize the automatic layout and wiring of fire detectors in a room.(4)Develop a BIM-based automatic layout system for space fire detectors in building models.Programming with Java Script enables the automatic layout and wiring of fire detectors for building models on any network end that supports Web GL functions,and visualizes the layout results and data.This paper presents an automatic layout method of indoor fire detector based on BIM.Based on the BIM model,this study develops an automatic layout system for fire detectors in buildings.It transforms the design mode from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space operation,breaks away from the constraints of traditional drawing software,improves the visualization of design,and enhances the designer’s understanding of complex building models.Visualization and Automation Research of design work is of great significance to design drawing work from manual participation to automation.
