Nantong Blue Printed Cloth Characteristic Furniture Design

Nantong blue calico is a traditional handicraft that has been passed down for thousands of years in the southern region of the Yangtze River.It is unique and regional.However,at present,Nantong blue calico,a national intangible cultural heritage,faces problems such as lack of inheritors and insufficient product innovation.Therefore,the thesis takes the development of the blue calico cultural industry as the research background and the characteristic value of the blue calico as the medium,and mainly explores the core issues of driving design in the blue calico.Aiming at the lack of inheritors of Nantong blue calico and insufficient product innovation,the thesis is guided by cultural value,and the furniture design of blue calico is the core content of this research.The thesis is mainly divided into three parts.First,the regional characteristics,technical characteristics and inheritance methods of blue calico are found from the literature research method and the visiting method.Secondly,in-depth analysis of the characteristic elements of Nantong blue calico technology,and innovative finishing.Carry out innovative design for its structure,craftsmanship and materials,and produce new Chinese furniture design concepts that conform to modern aesthetics.It analyzes the outstanding cases of modern new Chinese furniture,proposes a furniture design scheme with blue calico,constructs furniture modeling design with form evolution,shows the pattern gene and color gene of characteristic Nantong blue calico,and forms unique local furniture products.Since Xiangtian’s work was deep indigo,he took white clouds and dyed blue and white.Finally,based on the integration of Nantong blue printed cloth characteristic furniture design and the induction of blue printed characteristic genes,the paper clarifies the development and innovation path of blue printed cloth,so that the innovative development of blue printed cloth can be transformed into creative transformation.Reorganize and construct the characteristic language symbols of blue calico,so that the national intangible cultural heritage blue calico will be passed on with a new look in the new era,and provide reference ideas for scholars who study Nantong blue calico in the later period.
