Research On The Application Of Ridge Decoration Of Suzhou-style Ancient Buildings In The Design Of Cultural And Creative Products

As an important component of Chinese architecture,ridge decoration has important practical and aesthetic uses.In ancient times,the ridge decoration developed continuously,especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties when the centralization of power reached the peak.The dragon shaped ridge decoration of official buildings symbolized the identity and power of users.In local and folk architecture,the forms are rich and changeable,showing the trend of a hundred flowers in full bloom.Located in Suzhou in the south of the Yangtze River,the architectural ridge decoration is elegant and beautiful.Although less influential than the ridge decoration of the Forbidden City,it is full of poetry and painting and has its own style.The types and characteristics of Suzhou ridge ornaments jointly reflect the local people’s vision of a better life.Based on the discussion of traditional ridge decoration culture,after systematically combing the historical context of Chinese ridge decoration inheritance culture,this paper makes a field investigation with the Soviet style ancient building ridge decoration as the main object,and fully demonstrates the aesthetic characteristics of the Soviet style ancient building ridge decoration by using the theory of graphic design.Combined with the current situation of ridge decoration cultural and creative design in the market,this paper analyzes its advantages and disadvantages,and lay the foundation for this design creation.This design integrates the traditional ancient building ridge decoration culture with the modern design,in order to make the Chinese traditional art burst out new appeal,so that the Soviet style ancient building ridge decoration culture can get people’s attention and be better inherited.
