Bedroom Furniture Design Of Apartment For The Elderly With Barrier Free Characteristics

China has entered an aging society,and the society pays more and more attention to the elderly,but there are relatively few furniture suitable for the elderly in the field of home life for the elderly.This paper selects the home-based elderly care service mode supported by the community elderly care service center,which is in line with the current living situation and service needs of the elderly,and aims to design a series of bedroom furniture suitable for the self-care elderly in the elderly apartment.Through the investigation on the current situation of bedroom furniture of self-care elderly and elderly apartment,this paper takes the elderly apartment in Kangyang community of Fenghuang Valley,Yunlong,Zhuzhou City as a design case.This paper analyzes and summarizes the situation of bedroom furniture in apartments for the elderly,as well as their physiological,psychological needs and behavior.The service object of the apartment is the self-care elderly with action ability.The survey found that in their daily life of providing for the aged,they have life obstacles such as forgetfulness,no location of goods,difficulty in taking goods,laborious sitting up,complex intelligent operation and so on.From the perspective of solving the above problems,the design practice of bedroom furniture in self-care apartment for the elderly is carried out.This design specifically involves bed,bedside table,wardrobe,leisure chair and other bedroom furniture.Through the research on the function and appearance of the bed,the storage of the bedside table,the auxiliary accessories of the storage space of the wardrobe and the function of the leisure chair,it is considered that the bed of the elderly should be equipped with a one button call system,convenient hanging rack and sitting and lying auxiliary devices;A special storage compartment,fingerprint lock and power interface for drugs are added in the bedside table;Handrails,clothes hanging rods and induction lamps are added in the wardrobe;Drag armrest and crutch storage parts are added to the leisure chair.Compared with the previous design,it has better innovation.This study proposes that the bedroom furniture of self-care elderly apartments should follow the design principles of safety,convenience,ease of use,comfort and economy.The author believes that the design of bedroom furniture for the elderly should aim at the actual problems encountered by the elderly and extract their actual needs,so as to design more targeted aging products,so that the elderly can really have a high-quality old life.This study can provide new design schemes and ideas for bedroom furniture of similar apartments.
