Since the official opening of China’s gold market in 2002,China’s gold industry has developed rapidly,and has successively become the world’s largest gold producer and consumer in 2007 and 2013.By 2021,China has maintained this industry honor for 15 and 9 consecutive years.However,behind this award,it reflects the problems of low concentration of China’s gold industry,large but not strong gold enterprises,low guarantee of gold resources and lack of international gold pricing power.Compared with foreign first-class mining companies and domestic high-quality development requirements,China’s gold enterprises have a long way to go in the future.In 2013,it coincided with the proposal of the "the Belt and Road" initiative jointly built by the state.The gold industry actively seized the historical opportunity,actively went global and distributed overseas resources.For example,Shandong gold group and Zijin Mining Group have implemented internationalization strategies one after another,making a prominent figure on the world mining stage.ZJKY company is a state-owned listed company.Its main business mainly includes gold exploration,mining,beneficiation and smelting.The company was listed on the main board market of Hong Kong in 2006.The company actively participated in the integration and development of domestic gold resources and built major gold production bases in Shandong,Xinjiang,Gansu and Inner Mongolia.However,affected by the domestic industry environment,safety and environmental protection supervision and the shortage of its own resource reserves,the company has frequently encountered obstacles in its sustainable development in China in recent years.The company has set its sights on foreign countries,learned from industry leading enterprises,and tentatively acquired a gold mine in Ecuador,South America.It has accumulated some experience and strengthened the confidence of the company’s international development,that is,it must explore new foreign resource markets Only by opening up new growth space abroad can we achieve sustainable development.Therefore,it is very necessary to formulate internationalization strategy.Under the above industry background and company characteristics,based on the current strategic management theory and internationalization strategy theory,this paper analyzes the internal and external environment faced by ZJKY company through strategic analysis tools and research methods,formulates the internationalization strategic mission,vision and overall goal of ZJKY company,and determines South America,Africa Australia and the countries along the "the Belt and Road" are international target markets,adopting eight entry modes including cooperative development,equity M&A and risk exploration.Through the implementation of the three strategic points of "raw material procurement,geological exploration and Project M&a",the internationalization characterized by the possession and acquisition of mineral resources is highlighted.Finally,from the aspects of corporate governance,financial financing,human resources The five dimensions of corporate culture and risk management and control have formulated safeguard measures for the implementation of the strategy,and finally realized the strategic vision of "world-class gold mining company".At the same time,this paper also analyzes the factors that should be considered in the internationalization strategic positioning of other domestic gold enterprises,which has a positive reference significance for the formulation of the internationalization strategy of similar domestic enterprises.
