Aviation flight activity is a profession with high intensity, high difficulty and high requirement. As the first person responsible for air transport work, the pilot bears a large workload pressure.Workload pressure is the most important factor that affects the pilot’s safety compliance behavior.Improving the pilot’s safety compliance level is the fundamental way to avoid catastrophic accidents. However,in high-risk industries,it is often difficult to change workload pressure,so it is necessary to study the regulating effect of regulatory variables on the relationship between workload pressure and safety compliance behavior. To improve the safety compliance level of pilots and ensure the safety of aviation operation from the perspectives of changing the workload pressure and self-evaluation of skills. This paper defines the connotation of pilot workload pressure, safety compliance behavior and skill self-evaluation.Taking skill self-assessment as a moderating variable,a structural equation model of the effect of workload pressure on safety compliance behavior was constructed. The data of pilot workload pressure, safety compliance behavior and skill self-evaluation were obtained by means of questionnaire survey.Through model evaluation, model modification and model analysis, the effects of different dimensions of workload pressure on safety compliance behavior were obtained.Hierarchical regression analysis was used to examine the moderating effect of skill self-assessment on workload pressure and safety compliance behavior. The conclusions are as follows:1)The number of jobs, physical hazards and technical complexity have negative effects on safety compliance behavior, and the negative effects of the three on safety compliance behavior decrease successively;2)Job responsibility and job quality have a positive effect on safety compliance behavior, and their positive influence on safety compliance behavior decreases in turn.3)The self-assessment of technical skills has a positive moderating effect on the work quality and safety compliance behavior of pilots, and the self-assessment of technical skills will strengthen the positive influence of work quality on safety compliance behavior.4)The self-assessment of non-technical skills has a positive moderating effect on pilots’ job responsibility and safety compliance behavior, and the self-assessment of non-technical skills will strengthen the positive influence of job responsibility on safety compliance behavior.
