Application Of Visual Elements In Nuo Mask Of Maonan Ethnic Group In Cultural Creation Design Of Museums

As the cultural treasure of Maonan ethnic group,the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group is the crystal of ethnic wisdom and concentrated reflection of ethnic customs and ethnic characteristics.As a folk art with great originality,it should be better protected and inherited.However,in the uninformed deep mountains suffering from material shortage,the development and protection of folk art are severely limited,and even squeezed to the edge of society.The precious treasure remaining for one thousand years doesn’t get the treatment it deserves,and it might become unknown in the near future.the designers of new generation should reexamine and explore the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group from the angle of cultural creation,explore the correlation between traditional crafts and ordinary life from the perspective of design,and realize the double purposes of design innovation and folk art inheritance according to the practical situations with modern design philosophy.In this thesis,a study was conducted from four aspects.First,the question was raised,and the research purpose and significance were clarified.Through searching and analyzing related materials about the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group,the author concluded that the cultural creation design of museums in the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group was at a blank stage at present.Second,a visual analysis was made on the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group;integration and generalization were conducted from three aspects including artistic form,artistic characteristics and visual element;the visual elements in the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group were deeply excavated,to lay a theoretical foundation for the follow-up visual design.Then,an analysis was made in allusion to the current design situations and design problems of cultural creation for the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group,and the design methods were obtained according to the cultural creation design cases of excellent museums.Finally,design practicing was conducted from the entry point of visual elements in the Nuo mask of Maonan ethnic group,and the original visual elements were deconstructed,recombined and redesigned from the angle of modern design.The author aimed to bring a new view to the inheritance and development of traditional culture in Maonan ethnic group through the practice research on the cultural creation of Nuo mask museums,to provide new ideas for the cultural creation design of museums by treating the culture of Maonan ethnic group as carrier,to carry forward the innovation charm of Chinese traditional culture,and to promote the new development of cultural creation industry.
