Driver lane changing is one of the main causes of road traffic instability.Frequent lane changing leads to traffic instability and evolves into serious traffic congestion, resulting in a sharp decline in average traffic flow speed and road capacity, which brings many inconveniences to the travel of urban residents. The lane changing process consists of two stages: decision-making and execution, and is a complex process involving human factors. The existing research on road traffic flow lane changing takes objective traffic variables such as directly measurable speed and vehicle spacing as the entry point, and models and simulates lane changing behavior based on rules. To explore how subjective factors in the lane changing process affect drivers’ lane changing behavior, this article focuses on the influence of human factors and explores drivers’ lane changing behavior. The specific research content is carried out from three aspects:(1)Considering attitude and self-efficacy,a structural equation model was constructed to describe its impact on lane change decision-making behavior. In order to study whether the comprehensive perspective of attitude and self-efficacy has a significant impact on lane change behavior,a questionnaire was designed for Chinese drivers on attitude and self-efficacy in abnormal lane change behavior. The study found that drivers’ abnormal lane changing attitude was positively related to their abnormal driving behavior in lane changing decision-making,self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect, and there was a significant gender difference in the impact of attitude on lane changing behavior.(2)Based on friend factors and penalty experience, construct a structural equation model for lane changing behavior. To investigate whether young drivers have a significant impact on lane changing behavior in three aspects: friend pressure, shared commitment to safe lane changing among friends, and penalty experience,a survey questionnaire was designed for this study, and the maximum likelihood estimation method was used for factor analysis to test the model’s fit.Research has found that there is a significant positive correlation between penalty experience and abnormal lane changing behavior, while friend pressure is only significantly positively correlated with abnormal lane changing behavior led by speeding. The shared commitment to safe lane changing is significantly negatively correlated with abnormal lane changing behavior led by confidence and violation.(3)Based on the research content(2),a discrete selection model is constructed to analyze the impact of heterogeneity between drivers and traffic conditions on lane changing behavior.Adopt orthogonal experiments and design a questionnaire for this study.Construct a Logit model and a random parameter model for lane change decision-making behavior from the perspective of traffic conditions and driver’s explicit variable characteristics.Research has found that the speed of the preceding vehicle, the distance of the preceding vehicle, the number of surrounding vehicles, and the number of traffic accidents caused by lane changing have a significant impact on lane changing decisions, and the impact of the speed of the preceding vehicle and the number of traffic accidents caused by lane changing on the driver’s lane changing decision is heterogeneous.Considering the heterogeneity of drivers, the inclusion of latent peer pressure in the above model was the first to find that peer pressure has a positive effect on drivers(not all young drivers)’lane changing tendencies.
