Abstract/Summary:
Since the 20 th century,the world is facing five major problems such as population growth,food shortage,environmental pollution,energy tension and resource destruction,which have serious impacts on the sustainable development process of national and regional socio-economic development.The indicators of population,food,environment,energy and resources all contain certain energy values,and the use of energy value analysis methods to objectively evaluate the status of regional sustainable development and effectively solve the existing problems is of great importance to maintain the sustainable development of a country and region.Therefore,based on the theoretical methods of physical water,virtual water,water footprint and energy value analysis,this paper takes the binary water resources ecological and economic system of 16 cities in Yunnan Province as the research object,analyzes and evaluates the operation status,change dynamics and development capacity of the binary water resources ecological and economic system in Yunnan Province,discusses the influencing factors and sustainability of the development of the binary water resources ecological and economic system in Yunnan Province,and proposes relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the system to achieve sustainable development.The study also proposes countermeasures and suggestions for the sustainable development of the system.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)The definition,characteristics,connotation and composition of the binary water resources eco-economic system are introduced;the importance of the sustainable development of the binary water resources eco-economic system is explained in the context of China’s sustainable development strategy goals,and the influencing factors for the sustainable development of the binary water resources eco-economic system are pointed out.This is the basic work for the subsequent analysis,calculation and evaluation of this paper.(2)The relevant principles and analysis steps of energy value analysis are introduced.The energy system diagram of each subsystem was drawn according to the characteristics of the binary water resources ecological and economic system,and the energy value analysis table was prepared by using virtual water,water footprint and energy value calculation formula,and the energy value index system was further constructed.(3)Combining the basic data of 16 cities in Yunnan Province from 2006 to 2020,an empirical study on the binary water resources eco-economic system of 16 cities in Yunnan Province was conducted using energy value analysis.Firstly,the energy system diagram of the binary water resources eco-economic system in Yunnan Province is drawn,and the energy value analysis table and energy value index system of 16 cities and towns are calculated in turn by combining the principles of virtual water,water footprint and energy value calculation,and finally,the development trend of each index is drawn according to the calculation results of energy value index of each state and city,and the horizontal and vertical analysis of 16 cities and towns is conducted.The calculation results of energy value indicators show that Yunnan Province is rich in various resources,and most of them rely on local resources to achieve socio-economic development,with strong self-sufficiency;rich in total water resources,which are more difficult to develop and utilize;weak level of economic development,low degree of openness to the outside world,and less energy value input from the outside world;less pressure on the environment,with high potential for future development;and unbalanced and insufficient development among regions.However,with the passage of time,the level of economic development,the degree of openness to the outside world,and the quality and standard of living of the people in most of the states and cities have improved year by year,and the development gap between regions has been narrowing,and the ecological and environmental carrying capacity and sustainable development performance of the system have been weakening.(4)The energy value input and output of the binary water resources ecological economic system in each state and city were calculated separately,and the factors influencing the energy value output of the binary water resources ecological economic system in 16 states and cities in Yunnan Province were analyzed by using SPSS software.The results of the factor analysis showed that the combined scores of the common factors were consistent with the trend of the system energy value output,indicating that most of the variables of the energy value inputs had a greater influence on the system energy value output.(5)Based on the calculation results of energy value indexes and factor analysis,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for the sustainable development of binary water resources ecological and economic system in Yunnan Province: optimize the structure of energy value inputs to improve the efficiency of resource utilization;introduce modern science and technology to promote industrial technology transformation;increase the degree of system openness to actively introduce external energy value;vigorously develop tourism to achieve effective economic growth;pay attention to waste treatment and strengthen ecological environment management.
